probably about 12 seconds depending on the driver, tires, supporting mods, etc. but 12 seconds is probably what a tc with only 300 whp turbo set-up, and a clutch strong enough to handle it.

that is probably true too dude. the problem is the tc is not set up well for drag racing.

1. it is front wheel drive, which isn't good or weight transfer under hard acceleartion.
2. gets loads of wheelspin off the line, so the throttle has to be carefully fed through 1st and 2nd gear.
3. it needs to be in 3rd gear to reach 60 mph, so you lose precious tenths of a second shifting, and they have to be done damn near perfectly for good times.
4. 4th gear tops out at 105 mph, and a stock tc traps at about 96 mph (IIRC), so a turbo tc should be nearly getting to 5th gear to clear the 1/4 mile.

so the tc needs a damn good launch, and 4 good shifts to get through the 1/4 mile. so yeah, i can believe that it is hard for turbo tc's that are otherwise regular to get past 12 second 1/4 mile times.

heck, i think 318_tc with 454 whp only did a 12 second 1/4 mile.

Running 12.09 and I do believe they had somewhere around 300+ power. I dont remember hearing this tC exceeding 400 when this drag took place.

1/4 miles is about precision.. it varies a lot, i would say the driver is the still one of the best mod.. here in our race track, stock to mildly modded 350z runs only 13.9-14.2 max, STIs too are just around 14secs time

STi's 14 seconds?
The driver must suck.

A stock STi still should run mid to low 13's. and that's No mods what so ever.

yes.. i've seen 13.7 mildly modded.. i've seen tons of them racing and Zs are having trouble breaking 13s even the faster new gens. I havent seen stock sti's here on the low 13s. dont know why, its prolly our race track

I was just about to say, go find Elev...video.

A 400whp tC is a low 12sec car, and on a good day probably will crack high 11's.
