Ah cool. What I figured... probably had to get a used one if he could not fix yours and never bother to change out the plastic panel. I have a few of those laying around. I will look tonight and see. If I do, I will just mail it to ya. You can change it out in about 10 minutes.

Hi Everyone,

I think I should make a formal and public apology to all that did business with me in the last month. First off, I would like to say that I don't have any good excuse as to why I took so long on your gauges. I had been going through a difficult time in my life, and I am have had a hell of a time playing catchup. I have been on this forum for a long time, and have helped out a lot of people, as well as provided a lot of support to many people. I have contributed a lot to the scionlife community, and plan on continuing to do so. There are many, many people I have done gauge conversions for, as well as other modifications, most all of them have been very satisfied, but there are a few who I have wronged, and I apologize. I have gone out of my way to help a lot of people in this forum and others, and it seems once you wrong someone, you are hated by all. I really think it is a shame that human nature is this way, because I truly am an honest guy - many of you know me personally, and have sat and hung out with me. I am not a thief or a cheat, and I have slipped up. I am only human. Please know that I am not making excuses, but I am merely trying to explain myself.

I ask everyone to look at the big picture of myself in general, and not at my last actions. If everyone was judged this way, it would be inevitable that all would be hated. If this is the way life is - work hard and help others all your life, and mess up in the end to only be hated, the what kind of life is this?

Again, I'm sorry I had your gauges for so long. Trung, Jeremy, Dave, yes, we all provide the same service, and are competition, but I'm glad to see that you can reach out when someone is in need.

Thanks again, and I look forward to contribute again to the community.

-Paul

im glad to finally hear from you. im sorry that you are going through a rough time right now, really i am. the thing that ticked me off wasnt really the fact that the gauges took so long to get back to me, it was that you never contacted me all this time. i tried so many times to contact you by email, PMs, phone, ebay, etc. and you never got back to me once. i think its justifiable that the gauges took so long if you had a lot of stuff going on in your life that was creating some sort of hardship, i just would have liked to be informed on the status of them. i wouldnt have been mad if i was told of all this. hope everything straightens out for you.

I'm sorry you're going through hard times Paul. I've met you and I know you're a good guy, but I still agree with what blackrose said in the post above mine. All you needed to send us was a message. I felt that you had just taken my money and run. When you have time, please look over my PMs and emails and text messages and drop me a message.

Default MORE SHADY BUSINESS FROM LEDMODS.NET?

I can accept hard times, as I've had many myself. However, Paul aka whiteblazer01, aka www.ledmods.net, aka ledmods_net (ebay), and NOW aka 100leds (ebay), it's time to do business the way business was meant to be done. February 28th I won his auction, under his ebay id 100leds, for pink PLCC-2's. No leds, no email contact. I finally look at my paypal account and I see that the money was paid to Paul Salmas. Hmmm.... why does this sound so familiar to me? It only took me about 2 minutes of research to find that he was one man with many names. He has sold led's to two other people under the ebay name 100leds who haven't received so much as an email. Funny, I emailed him a general question last week at his ledmods_net ebay id and he was extremely quick at emailing me back.... of course I didn't know he was one and the same as 100leds at the time..

I don't doubt the quality of his work because I've seen it. I'm doubting his commitment to integrity.

The only reason I purchased the leds on ebay was because no one has PINK SMT/SMD's for sale (now I know oznium.com has PLCC-2's in pink). Last night (before all of the dots were connected), I'm thinking my only option now is to purchase SMD's for the speedo from www.oznium.com and I'll have to send the radio to that guy at www.ledmods.net. I'll still definitely order from oznium but I cannot, with a good conscience and knowing what I know now, give my business to Paul for anything!!! Today my thought process is...

#1 You put into the universe what you want to receive.... I'm putting pink SMT's in the universe so where's the other pink SMT's???

#2 This is bad karma and all I can do is share my info. like the ones who have been screwed before me. I will expend no more energy on this guy.

Some sellers also dont mention the inherent low life that pink leds have either (which is why some manufacturers, including a few I have talked with, will not make them). If you want to wait, I am supposed to recieve some from ozonium to test. Problem is, testing could take a while.

The issue with pink is that they tend to fade out over a shorter time than other colors. Again, this is why many manufacturers dont like making them, especially for long term applications.

I've been scouring the world for pink LED's as well. Viola is a friend of mine and she's really had her heart set on pink dash lights. I found an auction on ebay for pink ones, 50 @ $2.39 and $9.00 for shipping (USPS).
I thought what the hell and bid on them. The day before the auction ended, it disappeared...just vanished.
When I sent an email for an explanation I was told that they were posted wrong and would be available again. When they went back up for auction, the price was now $8 something and shipping had doubled to $18 for USPS.
I know people have hard times, and I've had my share of them but thats no excuse to screw people. I think what was done on Ebay was totally dishonest and total BS.
I sent a PM to Paul on the Scikotics website to see if I could buy them from him directly, I've still to receive an answer...and of course after all this it's irrelevant.

I'm really amazed at how much trash is being said about me. I work day and night, Sunday through Saturday, everyday working, trying to make an honest living. I'm young, single, successful, I have a lot of things going for me... I should be going out enjoying my life, but instead I'm here busting my a$$ every hour of the day trying to make a living. I have a mortgage to pay (I live by myself in my condo Orange County, CA - not the cheapest place to own property), I have to pay for my car, my motorcycle, and my life). Nobody else pays this for me. So this is why I have to work so hard. I wake up, get to work, all day long, then go to sleep and start over. This is why I so easily get burnt out, sick, and have hard times in my life. (My personal life is nobody's business, but I feel I need to say this to explain my point).

The comments being left here are describing me as the type of person that sends scam e-mails to people asking them to log into ebay or paypal, or sending scam e-mails from nigeria trying to take peoples money. Those of you that have been on this forum long enough know very well I'm not this kind of person.

Is this what I'm working so hard for? A bad reputation? Your comments give the impression that I collect everyone's money, laughing all the way to the bank! I'm really blown away.

Shady business? No way! Hard times? If you only knew! Only my local customers have seen, in person, the effort I put into my work. I have never, until now, explained what I go through, because I for one, don't want any sympathy, or to make excuses, but if this is what is being said about me, then I need to make it clear who I am.

I am so upset this is being said about me. I'm throwing my youth away for this? I have been a big contributor to this forum for a long time! I've helped out a lot of people, done a lot of free work, or extra work for people because I want to help! And now someone starts a negative thread and it blows up. Its true that good reviews only get told to 7 people, and negative news gets told to 27. All the countless other threads about "Paul is the best", "Thank you Paul", "Thank you ledmods.net", and people love to contribute to this. This is some bullsh**. I can't even begin to tell you how upset I am about these comments. I try so hard to please everyone, and help everyone out, and it backfires, and now people hate me for it. I just want to say thank you to all those people I did business with for leaving your positive feedback on this post.

For those customers that we had some trouble, I apologize, but I am not a g*d d*mn scammer, and I don't cheat anyone! If someone bought something from me on ebay, then they received what they bought! as far as 100LED's, I had an employee set up a seperate account to sell for me. I don't want that mixed with my ledmods account. If you didn't get what you received, then send me an e-mail. I'll see what happened.

As far as the pink LED's (and any other LED for that matter), if someone want's pink, I'll do pink. If it fades, I'll replace it. I have yet to replace a single pink LED. As far as UV, if someone wants it, I'll put it in. With any color, or mod, I always tell my customers, as long as they own the car, I guarantee my work. Period. If an LED goes out or fades, let me know, and I'll change it. With UV, I'll tell them it's possible that it's bad for their eyes. As long as they agree that I'm not responsible, I'll put it in, if that's what they want.

So for the last time, I'm not a scammer. I see true scammers all the time. These are the true scammers, and are very shady people. These are the people that steal from other people, and collect everyone's hard earned money without even a second thought. I am VERY offended that I am being compared to them - especially what I go through to help everyone out. If someone has a problem, tell me. My e-mail address is on my website. I get about 150 - 200 e-mails daily, so if I don't respond immediately, please be patient, but I will reply.

People that send me their gauges in the mail, always get them back. I still have a 1 day turnaround time. I have broken only 1 gauge cluster (I sat on the clock **** on an xa, and it broke, and I replaced it). I had a few problems with a few customers, but out of the almost 200 Scions I've modded, and the near 500 motorcycles I've modded, only a few have had these problems. And out of all my customers, absolutely none have been scammed.

the LEAST you could of done was take 2 mins out the day and send an email, show your face somewhere. Im sure he would have been ok with that! But the fact that you didnt and left him hanging is why this blew up.

yea, now I understand the whole working yourself to death part of it, but you could, and no offense intended, but you could have taken a few minutes during a lunch break or break to log in and leave him a message or e-mail him, I know you've helped quite a few people out with stuff, maybe its time to start over and only take 1 or 2 jobs at a time(on the stuff like this) that way your not killing yourself so much

I am a 30 yr. old female with a hefty mortgage, I work 18 hrs. a day, 7 days a week and the closest thing I have to a hobby is my xB. Now that we know each others match.com info. let's get to the meat of it. I'm the one who posted on here since your public apology, so let's look at that for a moment. I, in no way, said you were a scam artist. I simply displayed the facts of my situation. Funny thing is, I've still yet to get an email in return from the many I have sent you regarding the ebay purchase. However, you were Johnny on the spot with promptness in defending yourself on this forum, so this is where it will be dealt with.

You owe three people led's from auctions under the 100led name on ebay. Aside from myself, which my ebay name is the same as my scionlife name, the others are slickraft and folletdi, who is a sweet Italian who doesn't know English too well and left you a positive feedback before ever receiving anything. I'm writing up the $28.65 as a loss, but I'd appreciate it if you'd fulfill your commitment to these other buyers. I can just get mine from oznium.

The next time you would like to belittle me and defend yourself when I have repeatedly tried to contact you, you can do so through scionlife, scikotics, ebay, or even your website address that I've sent a message to.

BTW, I gave you props for your led work. It looks nice and I would have liked for you to do some work for me. I'm sorry this had to be dragged out publicly, but obviously there was little recourse.

I really would appreciate the update on the testing of the pink leds. Which size are you testing? I've done the research and I know the issues with pink, but I'm determined to have pink because I just can't imagine anything else in my xB. I'm doing 4 inch pink cold cathodes for the HVAC. I just don't want to have to go to gels with white led's for the speedo. I'm still not sure, now, what I'll do with the clock and radio to get pink. Guess it will be experiment time!

I have samples of the pink right now (thanks trung!). I plan to run them for as many consecutive hours as possible to see if they fade. Of course, I can only run them for so long, but hopefully I can get a good idea from my testing.
