Damn..Talk about bad service.. kinda long

Default Damn..Talk about bad service.. kinda long

Well i went yesterday to my Toyota/Scion dealer to get some accessories installed in my XB.. I was very dissapointed with the kind of service they gave me..
Here's how it went:

1. Guy calls me Thursday saying that all my accessories arrived and that he wanted me to tell him when i could go to leave the XB for installation.. So i tell him Monday and he says Ok..then come at 9:30 am and look for me. So i arrive at 9:15am on Monday, ask for the guy and they say he doesnt start to work till 11am.. And why in the world he tells me to be there at 9:30 am and ask for him? ..so i said i would come back at 11 cause i needed to see some of the accessories before they installed them..

2. I go back at 11am and the guy was there..Tell him to show me the Carbon fiber dash trim cause i was still unsure if i wanted to install it or not.. He says NO..WHAT THE HECK!!!! I cant even see first the parts that i paid for? thats messed up..so finally he let me see the CF trim but i wanted to see it in the car to decide..Hmm too late cause they had already taken the car to the back ... so i couldnt see it.

3. I tell them to give me ride back to work(they have shuttle buses) cause the guy said it was going to take like 3-4 hours to install everything. He says ok ill contact the shuttle bus.. I had to wait 1 1/2 freaking hours for them to take me into the shuttle bus and then back to work.

4. Guy calls me in the afternoon saying that my XB was ready, so i tell him ok i need you to send the shuttle bus for me. He gives me a number to call so i talk to the guy to pick me up.. I call and the guy says ok ill be there shortly ill depart in 5 minutes to go pick you up.. Now the dealer is like 15 minutes away from my work..But i had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for this guy to finally show up and pick me up..Keep in mind that Im waiting outside my office(so no work no pay for me plus i had wasted already 2 hours in the morning dealing with them)

Dont get tired reading now cause there is more!!!!

5. I finally arrive to the dealer and they go bring my XB..I inmediatelly start inspecting the car and all accesories. They had forgotten to install 1 accesory. It seems they installed my fog light with their feet rather than using their hands..They took out the fogs cover and they could not CLEAN the dirt residue that was there before installing the fogs..they just proceeded to install them and left all that looking like a pigs nest(Even the seller that sold me the XB at the showroom went to see how everything went and he complained that it was messy..they didnt do anything about it)
So i look in the XB for my fogs cover and they were not there..I ask for them and they say.."ohh well we usually dont give those back cause the customers dont ask for them"..Well that came with my car,those are MINE and i want them back just in case i need to take the fogs out i want to put the cover back...So they go back and just come with 1..the other one they didnt find it and they still looking for it.. I think the least they coul've done was ask me if i wanted them covers or not so then they could dispose of them.

FINE!!! thay said they would try to look and find the other cover.

6. So i leave the dealership very dissapointed but thats not all..I was almost arriving back to work, just 1 block away when the guys at the dealer calls me..I thought maybe they had found the cover but no..The guy says.."can you bring the XB back? the guys need to check something" I ask what and he says..well something...I go back they pop the hood and a guy starts looking with a flashlight to the motor and engine bay..I say.."you looking for something?"(lol maybe they left the fogs cover in the engine bay)..he says let me take it back to the shop and lift it up..so he takes it back and 10 minutes later he returns with the car..... They never told me what was wrong or what were they looking for...

So i left really ____ed off with they poor service..

Not only that..I have to go back later in the week for the other accesory they didnt installed cause they had to order it.

Thats pure crap... I would raise hell. Make sure you get the other fog light cover... Make them give you new ones if they still can't find it.
Try another dealer next time..

Sounds like you need to find another dealer. Is this something where you want to post the name so that people know to stay away?

That would have ____ed me off. Probably not to the point of going elsewhere, but enough to complain.

That's when I would have told them to keep their accessories and I would have gone somewhere else. There is NO excuse for that kind of treatment to a paying customer.

I have to agree... you'd be seeing me on the evening news with all that shoddy service.....

I will try to take a pic today of how they left the area of the fog lights so you guys can see how dirty it was..There was a lot of dirt residue in there..i've had the XB just for 12 days.

They put the factory front hood mask and they didnt atleast was the hood or the area where the mask covers..So i guess i would have to remove the mask and do that myself.

Well this happened in Puerto Rico at the Triangle Toyota/Scion of San Juan.

I will wait till friday cause i am supposed to go back so they install the accesory they did not ordered..I hope to recover my other fog light cover on Friday or otherwise i will file a complaint

Write letters. Lots of them. Hit up Scion executives . Hit up Toyota Corp. Send a letter to the general manager of the dealership.... send lots of letters.

You guys think this is worthy to be called a clean install? Specially from a dealership that they should be "proffessionals"?
The only clean spot in that pic is because i buffed it of with my finger.


They should atleast had cleaned the area when they took off the fogs cover, so that when they installed the fog lights it would've been clean.

They also installed the Hood mask and they didnt clean the hood..they installed it with the hood dirty..

When my Honda was under warranty and i took it to the dealer the service was very proffessional and they even washed the whole car...even if it was taken in for just an oil change.

I take it there is only one Scion dealer in SJ?

That install would qualify as ____poor...

no there isnt just one..But since i had bought the XB there, all my accessories where going to arrive there so i had to go there for the installation.
