i say that if nothing else works just stake out his house and catch him with a video camera and confrot him, then after he says your not getting back nothin, or similer words go to the pd, if nuthin else happnes, get a aluminum ba and beat the hell out of his 300zx that he dosent own yet.... i feel your pain tho....

 

wow. i'm still amazed to see how conniving people can be. this is ridiculous. such thiefs!!! i understand no one wants to go to his house because it could "get ugly" but i'm sure if you just showed up and asked for your stuff he would probably be shocked enough to hand it over...unless he is as big of a jerk as this thread makes him out to be. i hope everyone who was ripped off by this guy is taking some sort of legal action and everything works out for each of you!

 

the problem is that from what i'm reading, you all who have lost cash because of him will be stuck with small claims which 90% of the time you wont even win back everything due to the laywer wanting something out of it. plus lawsuits take for EVER! Turst me, my father and i just finished ours... it took 6 years.

if anything, have the mods *if they can* supply the IP address this guy has been using so that you can pressent them to this fruad investigater or whatever and with just that you will find the general area of where this guy is at. every time you post on a forum, anytime you register your self to a forum, your IP is logged on that site. all it takes is that little number to track anyone down.

this guy can't whipe his harddrive unless he has a 4 kilowatt electro magnet which there is NO way he can buy unless hes got 5 grand to spear out of his poket. a reformat does nothing at all, all files that were previously on the drive become ghost images and can be find again and again even after multiple reformats. hit emails, his promisses, his transactions and hell, even his phone calls are all recorded someway somehow.

calling the cops wont help because "it's not something we can help right now" or "it's not a big enough emergency to send a trooper to check it out". trust me i've heard all the excuses even when it came to deadly fights going on right in front of me. they say "oh ok we'll send someone out". the tacoma PD headquaters is les then 10 minutes away from my appartments, it takes them 30-45 minutes to get here after someone calls... even if someone is dieing... which has happened and still took them 37 minutes to get here when i could have loaded my neighbor up and taken him to the hospital in less then 5 minutes because the hospital is even closer...

that meaning of "you want something done? do it your self" is a true fact because i don't count on the PD anymore... it almost seems like the PD is the perfect job for anyone who wants to be late all the time.

Also you can fake the IP address, so many ways to do this. Please don't take my posting as a personal attack I just don't want common computer misconceptions to be placed into the public domain.

i was getting annoyed and angry just reading all this. please tell me SOMETHING good came out of all this....

 

When I go to donate..well recycle..an old computer I will remove the hard drive and pry it open with a screwdriver (a sledgehammer may also assist in getting the case open). And then taking tin snips to the hard drive disk platters inside and cut them up into at least 6 parts, and make sure nothing resembles what it used to look like (i.e. the platters can no longer spin). If something will not come out nicely to be cut up bring out the sledge again it will remove something. Thats my way of 'removing' the data. Also is great stress relief. I also used gasoline to burn the pieces of the platter...that didn't do anything besides char the platter. But it was awesome to watch. Although I don't recommend the gasoline.....

 

as far as i know, no one got any of their stuff back. the one good thing that came out of this was the guy is not ripping people off on this site anymore, and hopefully word is out on that loser in case he's trying to hustle on other forums. the internet community is smaller than you think and people tend to post on all types of different forums. as far as i'm concerned, i called it a loss a long time ago, rebuilt the car better than it was before, and moved on. cleancustoms (kenny) is probably off in mexico sucking off donkeys to make a buck.

 

So Im guessing, still no interior? Guy has just vaporized..or did you recoup anything?

 

interior has been in the car for a while now actually. i found a seller on ebay who cut me a deal on everything i needed. but no, i never got anything back from him. i could spend time being mad about it, but it's easier to just let it go. as far as i'm concerned, it's ancient history.

 

Thats whats holding me back from sending my stuff out, ever since i read about your post last year...Im just keeping it bare.
