checkout new youtube video:

You can see ours compare to others. On the left, the light is flickering the whole time. poorly made HID kits will flicker. it's not the installation but simply a bad kit.
google "flickering hid" or http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=...x=1&fp=1&cad=b

I've had this kit for a while now, going on over a year and its great! I got the 6k fog lights and 6k bi-xenon headlights. I'm still very happy with the setup!

I've had my kit for about 9 months now and I've noticed the lights flicker,it's kind of intermittent though. It will be fine and then I can see it dancing around, they also jiggle around alot when I hit bumps and yes I did install the little washers that come in the kit. Any input on a possible cause or remedy for this problem would be greatly appreciated.

My set also do this. Sometimes when I turn them on and only one of them comes on, and I have to turn them on and off a few times before I get the other to finally do it"s job.

Agreed! I still would like some sort of explanation as to why this is happening, and possibly some kind of remedy for the problem.

HIDXTRA, you can chime in now!

Hmm.... usually running the harness keeps that from happening. Sounds like the ballast failing.

it might be the ballast or bulb, go ahead and switch the bulb to the other side to see if the problem follow the bulb or ballast. email me the result to info@hidextra.com and I'll get you replacement parts~

Well, it ended up being that both of my ballasts were going bad. I switched the bulbs and nothing changed, now both bulbs aren't coming on. I tried two new ballasts that my friend just got and the lights worked flawlessly, no flickering or dancing around. Email sent!

both my ballasts wont work either. Worked fine for a week them one went out I traced it down to a fuse in the relay after replacing the fuse I tried again drivers side worked for a bit then they both died again. This time fuse wasn't blown. I have tried hooking the ballast without the relay and they don't want to fire up.

If we ship these back for an exchange are we responsible for return shipping?

I got my kit and tried installing it today, and the results were less than satisfying. The bulbs would flicker, and then one side would shut off. I tried every possible combination of wiring I could and couldn't get them to stay on without flickering like a strobe light.

Overall I am very unsatisfied with this kit and will be emailing you about getting my money back.

Don't waste your money on this kit, spend the extra cash and get a kit that works right the first time.

^Which kit did you go with? I have the slim digital and have been running well for more than a year.

I bought the one with the black slim ballasts. I was also running a relay harness and one side would keep flickering then shut off. I tried it with soem old ballasts I got from Mobile HID back in the day and still had the same problem. So I just got fed up and e-mailed HID Extra so I can return the kit and get my money back.

^I have the silver/chrome regular slim digital ballasts, some have not been to happy with the matte black slim ballasts, IDK what's going on with them. May you get everything resolved soon.
