Default Motor FX- WTH??? Anyone work there or know them?

Ok so I ordered a CF hood for my tC from MotorFX almost 3 weeks ago, and it was on backorder blah blah but they told me they were sending it. Ever since then, I've been unable to contact them. No response to email, no response to multiple phone calls and messages left- now i can't even leave a message because their VM is full. Anybody know WTF is up with that?

hmm... knowing Coi... he's a great individual and he provides great service and products

but there is this thing with the whole CF shortage stuff... maybe..

only thing i can suggest is to be patient... 3 weeks isn't that long compared to the wait some other people have had to do.

Yea- The thing that bothers me is that they said that it was on backorder, and they would call me when they got it in and only THEN would they charge me. Well, they called me to let me know it was in and would ship in a few days, then charged my card- and since then I haven't been able to contact anyone (including Coi, who i've PMed in an attempt to get some more info)

It could just be that people there are on vacation or something and the item is in the mail but... its not being able to contact them to find out which is nerveracking.

Hah! Finally got a hold of them today- They shipped my hood out on Tuesday and it should be here next week. They sounded really busy- of course in my haste to get a tracking number and whatnot I didn't even ask what the disconnect has been this week- if anybody else finds out plz post...

my experiences w/ motor-fx has been nothing short of great. i've had many successful transactions w/ them in the past and i highly recommend them. As for the parts being on backorder, i myself am in the automotive sales business and manufacturing myself and yes carbon is a bit short on the availability these days. just be patient and coi and his staff will take care of you.

Well the product i got is great- it's got a few tiny scratches on it, and the wiper holes on the underside were drilled in the wrong place (see this link , https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...154&highlight=) but other than that its good.

However, their lack of communication, AND the fact that they randomly charged my credit card an additional 300 bucks (ostensibly for no reason) and won't get back to me about it, has definitely sullied my experience with them... can't say i'd do business with them again.

I will talk to them tomorrow for you. I know them personally and Im sorry to here this. Please understand that carbon is under short supply because of the aerospace industry. Coi will take care of this issue!
