Default my experience with Oznium

well, i just want to post about my experience with oznium. phil at oznium had helped me out a lot with my car over the past year or 2, and in return i had promoted him at shows with business cards, etc. i have his under glow kit, led strips, hid headlights.... after 2 months the hid's randomly stopped working. i switched to another company hid's to make sure it wasnt some other problem, but they worked fine. upon telling this to oznium, it took me a few days to finally get them to give me a discount code so that i could buy a new set. when i tried using this code, it didnt work. then, they went out of stock, and now they do not provide hid's anymore. previously, the display module for my underglow kit had stopped functioning. why? i have no idea. i told phil, and he sent me a replacement and i paid 50% off, which is good because i wouldnt expect to have to pay full price for a faulty product. the same thing happened again, and my display wont work. i told phil about this, and he said "sorry i dont help out people who promote me anymore" and told me to buy another one. i then told him that his hid's didnt last longer than 2 months for me, ive gone through a few displays for underglow, and his response was simple 'sorry, i think this is fair'. i know oznium is known for their tremendous customer service, and i have posted about this when i used to help promote for oznium, but you would think that these matters could have been handled differently. people in the boston area know how much i supported oznium and how they all bought oznium stuff as a result of me showing them, and he was happy about this originally. now, when i ask for a replacement display for a discounted rate at least since its not my fault, or for help with regard to my really bad quality hid's, i cant even get a straight answer except 'sorry, nothing i can do'.

on another note, i also asked phil if he would want oznium to donate towards a charity for a childrens hospital, as i saw on his website that oznium loves contributing. when ia sked him, all his response was "no". thats fine, you dont have to, but at least say it differently. i wish oznium best of luck, and i can see why a few of my friends who promoted and supported oznium have switched to another company. i myself have switched as well, based on my recent frustration, and i am not posting this to take business away from oznium because i know he has a lot of support, i am merely doing this to voice my frustration and to just warn people in the future when dealing with him, that he doesnt really care after a while, even though originally he likes to make it seem as if he does.

I have personally seen all the support that Salik has put up for Oznium
it is sad to hear that a so called supporter would stiff someone like that
i would've gone with Oznium for some underglow kits, but looks like that isnt happening

that is pretty messed up, considering how much you did for them. pretty much your the reason why i bought from them to begin with. too bad they just shut you out like that.

I can also vouch for Salik and his tremendous professionalism in promoting Oznium show after show. Its sad to hear about the polar opposite levels of caring that Phil showed from the beginning to the now end of Salik's involvement with them. Just doesn't sound like good business in my book.

Your Inferno kit's 1-year warranty expired last August. You're welcome to purchase replacement parts, but I can't warranty it indefinitely. I think this is fair.

Wishing you the best of luck too, Salik.

its not my fault that your displays stopped working twice on me. besides, you replaced one display after that 1 year period anyways. that also didnt stop you from wanting me to continue to promote you last season, which i did. anyway, its cool i just wanted to make this thread so that future buyers who are looking for a credible relationship with a vendor do so with caution. this is not to say that i did not enjoy promoting for your company and showing people your stuff. thanks though, i look forward to this upcoming show season

I also urge buyers to deal with credible companies.

Oznium offers a 1-year warranty, as well as a 365 day no-questions asked return policy / satisfaction guarantee.

And as you know, we will sometimes even honor the warranty slightly after it has expired.

Going outside to wash my tC now. Cheers!

personally i love oznuim and have never had any problems with my stuff *knock on wood* and am getting ready to purchase more stuff from them once i get the money everyone is entitled to an opinion but oznium is a great company and them along with companies such as killerglass have done so much for the scion community. I respect your thoughts but there is always two sides to it and i just dont want this thread to take away from oznuim they have done alot for Scion.

my hid burnt out after 10 months.. i called them to get 1 bulb they sent me 1 for free.. it turned out the ballast was bad.. so i called them again..told them the ballast is bad.. and the other side is flickering.. they sent me 2 ballast 1 bulb for free.. so i got 2 ballasts and 2 bulbs.. BUT!!!! the new bulbs came with different harness.. so i had to use the harness from the old setup ( new harness has 2 plugs at the ends.. the old one has 1 plug on one end and 2 pin on the other and i had to push this two pin in the stock plug) so using the old harness the new lights are working with the new ballast.. but somehow im not happy with the output and it turned out they sent me two different bulb .. one is 6 k the other is 8k...

so they just sent me a WHOLE new kit again.. so.. i like them so far...

i agree that there are 2 sides to this kind of stuff, and i respect that. im just posting my own personal experience just so my side is known to potential buyers, thats all. i personally will never deal with oznium again, nor will i direct people to oznium when i talk to them about products such as hid's, led strips, underglow etc. i will not promote oznium, but thats just my own choice.

man and i wish i had that same treatment when my HID's burned out after just 2 months. i was just given a run-around and told to swap left and right yadda yadda and when i did, i was issued a non-working code that i had to ask to get again. when i did, hid's were out of stock and then they stopped selling them. makes sense though, very poor quality hid's compared to the ones i immediately switched to. i would hope that customer service would be top notch like your experience upon using faulty and poorly made products anyways. so its good to see they have very good customer service to most people. youd think that it would be like that for those who promoted for them for 2 show seasons as well! anyway like i said, this is just my side, and im sure there are great stories about oznium too, i used to have some when i was proudly promoting them. i still wish best of luck to both oznium and their future customers.

hey man i like how you went about bringing up the facts. your not bashing, just bringing them to light. though ill probably not buy from them now, if I did, I would know what i may be getting into. i just wouldnt buy now on principal. it flips me to think you promoted and couldnt get a little more help. while a normal customer seems to be treated better. but alas, you went about it very maturely imho

Salik,

I agree with you about the relationship aspect. I have a good relationship right now with people I'm promoting including TurboToyotas, so I have an idea of what goes into something like that. Granted, Oznium can't give "indefinite warranties," but if you really promoted them a lot, they should have taken care of you better. Just my $.02. Oznium is a great company, but this situation is murky.

i agree oznium is a good company, but yeah i just felt the need to make this known. i have tremendous relationships with companies like strup performance upgrades, elemental designs, under the hood inc, etc. its always nice to have good relationships with companies that appreciate you promoting them you know? thanks for the input guys, even to those of you who i dont even know, it makes a difference to get input from others.

^ well thats a matter of opinion. for me, i firmly believe that the quality is not great. i have had problems with the displays, the remotes, the LED strips burning out, and the HID's. and im not the only ones with these problems, a few people in MA who i referred to oznium had similar problems. i guess theres bad apples in every tree, but for me i aim for perfection when i put things on my car. i know people who absolutely love and stand by oznium products as well, but as for me that has been my experience. definitely better stuff out there for me!

as for me i'll pass, even if the product is covered under warranty, i rather not have to keep replacing it. seems like too much of a hassle

stupid and rude comment. do you rep oznium products in your car in anyway? i respect this person who started the thread but chiming in and making comments like that are just uncalled for. We both agreed there are 2 sides he had a bad experience and i had a good experience. you coming in here and saying that is just un called for IMO. I love oznium and like i posted earlier they have done to much for Scion not to apreciate them i think.

i appreciate what oznium has done, theyre just like any other vendor on sl that appreciates scions. i dont think they offer high quality stuff, but im not trying to cause a scene or anything, just giving my 2 cents with regard to my own personal experience. i think that superxero just took what i was saying to a higher degree, i dont think they mean it they just made an observation based on what i said. its a matter of personal opinion though.

from my experience, yeah i know a handful of people who were not happy based on parts dying out and faulty stuff with regard to what they purchased. they also will no longer deal with oznium. on the other hand, i also said that i know people who stand proudly with oznium and his products, just as i once used to. theres 2 sides to it, and ive seen both.
