Well we just had our email conversation. Out of respect I will not post in full what he said. But it's clear that he doesn't care. He claims that they're not "mad" rusty and that I'm exaggerating. Maybe I am?

It doesn't change the fact that he is a very misleading seller. I hope that no one else buys goods from him. Shame that some people do these kinds of things.

thats kinda d!ck. seller should own up and stop being a little bich, refund some of the money or take those things back..jaspers a good guy, hate to see him get taken advantage of like that, and hes still being calm about the whole situation.

Thanks, Highvoltage.

Yeah, I can't believe this guy had a good name and then he does this. He's getting rid of his tC so he just doesn't give a s___, I guess.

Fingers crossed that I can clean them up and that everything is okay. I'll be lucky to get 10k solid miles out of them. I wonder if I can just post them up for sale and let them go to someone who has the patience to deal with them...

If you paid through Paypal I'd be filing a claim or something... those are DEFINITELY not as he claimed. I'd just want my money back and ship them back.

I can't... I sent the payment as "Gift" per his request to help him out with the fees. Lesson learned there.

I was just telling someone last week on here why you never, under any circumstance, pay as a gift. If the seller wants to avoid the 3% Paypal fees, they should be included (not explicitly) in the asking price.

Ouch... and now we know why he wanted it sent that way.

I HATE when people ask for a price and then say to add 3% for Paypal fees. If you want to allow someone to pay with Paypal, that's the "convenience" fee of using their service. If someone MUST have their price and that extra 3%, they need to just ask that much more for it to begin with.

Same here. Also I think I remember reading somewhere that it's against Paypal TOS to tack on the fees in a classified ad.

How come in his FS thread, post #9 the coilover looks super clean, but when you recieved they looked ___ed up? He was not honest. You spend good money on it and i think you should at least get some money back for the trouble.

Blah. Totally sucks to get screwed over. This is the first time its ever happened to me through a forum. I wish I paid the 3% to avoid this crap. But you live and learn. I'm not as upset about this whole thing as I was a couple of days ago, at least. I'm focusing on what needs to be done to get these things clean and get them in good order. I'd like to be able to sell them after I get a bit of use out of them.

On a positive note - I might be able to get someone to sandblast them for free.

Oh, and I really appriciate everyone's concern and best wishes. I honestly thought that I might get flamed because this guys such a reputable member and everyone might have his back. It's good to see the support.

I think it is only against their TOS if it is an auction - like on eBay or something. I'm pretty sure I looked into it before b/c I wanted to try to tell someone to shove their 3% up their ___ with a TOS violation. It didn't work out.
