i-Kona and I have reached an agreement based on when I expect this to be finished, how it should be done, and what happens in case it doesn't get done, now, baring he keeps up his end of the bargain, I hope to consider my case pretty-much closed with this...

It's been a long time of waiting, and I kept getting bumped back in line despite my being a very early sign-up for the GB itself...

...either way, I'll keep this updated with how things work out, I hope he sorts out his paper-work/customers and also gets to buying extra garnishes to have on hand in case of people taking too long to mail back their own garnishes to him as part of exchanges

Yeah, it all depends how I feel when I get the piece, not to mention *if* I get it on-time now.

I posted this in the Garnish thread, but I'll post it here too I guess:

I sent payment on April 4th. That's over 3 months ago. At the time I could afford it so it wasn't a problem, and I expected to have the garnish in 2-3 weeks as stated. But over the past month I've hit a deer, and had some crap fly out of a dump truck and into my car, costing me money that I basically don't really have and didn't expect to have to spend. Plus I just got back from a 10 day vacation that cost me more money. So I'm pretty much in need of every dollar I can get my hands on at this point. I've been draining my savings account to keep my checking account from going to $0. Alot of is it my own financial irresponsibility, but that $100 deposit return, or the $180 that I shouldn't have sent to I-Kona for this thing in the first place, would really help at this point. I can make $180 last a week or up until my next paycheck.

The lack of communication and seeming hopelessness in ever actually getting what I paid for is getting frustrating, both mentally and financially. If I haven't heard any sort of definitive update regarding my order, that's me specifically, by this time next week then I'm filing a complaint with Paypal and doing whatever I have to do to get some or all of that money back. I'd rather just cancel the order completely at this point anyway.

^^^^ I believe that you have to file a dispute with Paypal within 2 months of order. Then BEFORE 20 days of that dispute you have to file a claim and escalate.

I have escalated it today.

I'M ____ED!!!

-no (honest) communication
-no item
-broken promises

As far as I can tell I have been ROBBED!

$230 was stolen from me because I believed in someone connected to the scion community and ScionLife.

$230 for emtpy promises and a major headache!!!!!!!

He sent me a PM on monday.

He said that his internet is down and that he has to use someone elses computer or go to the library.

If this was the only problem or the first time he gave me an excuse the that would be fine ... but there have been many many many excuses. I wouldn't even know where to start.

He said it as though it is my fault..... HE is running an online business ???

So my work with Delta or ikona whatever there are called now. I ordered mine on the 26th of June. I have been emailing and everything and no response yet. I am not to happy with the customer service. I am going to go and request a refund from Paypal and see how that goes. If anybody has a direct number I can get a hold of someone that would be great. Thanks

I sent payment for one of those "screwed at the pump decals" on June 30th, and still haven't received it. I emailed him two weeks after payment and got this response:

Thank you for your email. We will respond to it as soon as we can.
C'mon I-Kona! It's a freaking sticker! and it's been over 3 weeks since I paid!

Maybe we can have some custom decals made up: "Screwed by IKona"

I've spent way too much time on this.

I got the garnish the color is way off. Then iKONA did work with me to come to a reasonable end to this whole thing. I was so frustrated that I didn't even really look at the thing until this weekend.

The craftsmanship is CRAP! There are lines in the paint under the clearcoast. It is wavy and there are these odd little whole at the edges where it just missing layers.

I don't know ... I can't really explain it.

The garnich is CRAP CRAP CRAP!.

when I got it the color was off ... I mean way off. He gave me back some money and I was just tired of thinking about it. I had to put it on because my original one broke and I needed something to use for the latch so that I could open it. Other then looking at thie blue/green, teal kind of color against my bright blue I never really looked at it again because I really didn't want to think about it ... what a head ache.

Well.. I waxed my car this past weekend. Got everythiing all clean and shiny. Then I started to really check the garnish out because every inch of the car looks mint (almost).

This is the worst job I have ever seen. It's so bad. I feel so bad for the ppl that are buying stuff from iKONA. He is stealing money and it just isn't right.

Had a part issue with him. Postal service is mostly to blame. But he was a lil slow in gettign back to me and gettign me the original part back to me. Overall though he has apologized and is working to fix his mistakes and is standing up for the mistakes. John is a good guy and once he gets a lil more organized im sure he will see my business again.
