Default problem with grant kustoms

has anyone else ever ordered from them at all for anyting, i ordered a set of the taillight fillers for the xb and they told me that it would be 2 weeks and said fine, after 3 weeks i called and said that they didnt even make them yet, which made me pretty ____ed, now its been a month and i just got off the phone with them and they said they still didnt make them and that bob grant was on vacation and will make them when he gets back, and they told me it would be another 2 weeks. at this point im ready to call them and just get my money back. does anyone else make the fillers that i could order them from? im seriously disapointed in them, i would not have wxpected this from their comapany, this is very unacceptable..............

no they are made of metal and you weld them in to shave your brake lights. http://grantkustoms.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=466

i guess they dont make them unless someone orders a set, but still i think the time frame here is seriously rediculous, it was the same thing when i ordered the bags too, i was told 2 weeks and itended up being 2 months and they overnightd the stuff to me, i was getting really made with them (easystreet), seems like i have this problem with everything i order for my car, and its holding me back from going to shows too.......

I am an old mini trucker from way back and Bob Grant is one of the most respected metal workers out there. If you want a quality product than I would advise you to be patient and wait for them. You have to realize that in the "minitruck world" XB's are not as common as say a S10 or a Toyota pickup. So he probably carries very few or nil of XB product because it only makes smart business sense to carry a minimum inventory of product he gets a request for 2-5 times a year. If you want something custom not cookie cutter -- I am sorry to say but you gotta wait even though it is frustrating.

Later,

Kirby

^^^^

I understand the point you're making, but if the consumer in question is promised 2 weeks and it turns into 2 months, that's not acceptable.

I second that grant has a good rep, but it does suck its taking so long. I am sure you'll get your stuff tho. I always tell my boss "Do you want it right or do you want it fast?"

thats the thing i dont understand i know that their stuff is good and worth it but i fell like im just getting the runaround from them, i sent them another email also and still no relpy from either, come on now what kind of customer service is this? i decided to call and they told me that bob was the only one that could make these and he went on vacation but my order was on the top of the list, and that it could be another 2-3 weeks, so i think next week i will call back and try to talk with bob himself and see what happens in this matter

finally after 6 long weeks they showed up on monday, first i was excited but after a close look at them, both sides are not even, again another disapointment from them, so i guess im gonna have to give them another call, and i think ill try to make another set myself, i should have saved my money, so in conclusion i will never buy from them again and i would advise anyone else to do the same
