Default TcTunerz.com potential customers beware, buy at own risk

This is for the innocent Scion owners that don't know about these scum bags. I hope that savy Scion owners that want to purchase online accessories and parts will stay away from this crooked website.

We pray that people will explore scionlife's search option and this will come up along with every other horror story about tctunerz.com.

If not, I hope that this post/thread will take notice to scionlife moderators and tctunerz.com will be banned from this fine website... I can't stand bad business and good people getting scammed. cheers!

Well, I still haven't heard what is so bad about them. Obviously the phone situation, but they have since taken care of that. What else? A lot of what I have heard is hearsay. What have YOU guys personally experienced?

if i were a customer ... i'd be inclined to ask... why ARE there haters for tctunerz and no one else... hmm

that's a red flag in my book... sure its obvious they don't burn everyone... but are you willing to take that chance and get burnt?

BTW, if you do buy from them I recommend using a CC with some sort of online transaction protection, like amex blue. If necessary dispute charges (or ask the CC to withhold payment) as soon as you smell something fishy (like they charged you, but provided no tracking number or one that doesn't work).

One of the good things about CCs is that they will go to bat for you in certain instances. If they get a significant amount of disputed charges towards one company... I'm willing to bet they'll take some sort of action themselves.

Do not let them charge the CC before the product ships.. that's simply a bad idea in general.

that said... why bother with the worry.. there are other places to get stuff... and piece of mind & quality service is worth some extra $$$ in my book.

Instead of doing a search lets start posting experiences here. I still have not heard any arguments why not to buy from them. I have been on the internet for a long time and I know very well how the hearsay can spread. I am still waiting for someone to post what bad experience that they have had.

here's a bad story for you that happenend to me.

around late february i did not know much about tctunerz and had placed my order for the K&N cold air intake. nothing on their website showed that it was on backorder or out of stock. so after a couple of days of not getting a reply email from tctunerz, i had tried contacting them. it took them about a week to reply and all they told me was that they didnt not have my intake and it would take about 3-4 weeks to arrive.... so i decided to wait. a few days later, i had found a private distributor selling the K&N CAI out of his place... i just had to go pick it up (and so i did). "no big deal" i thought... i could just email tctunerz and have them cancel my orderl..... WRONG! after sending in about 5 emails and a bunch of thier ____ty "support tickets" i got a reply after TWO WEEKS saying they canceled my order. At least a month and a half passed by since i placed my order and I had totally forgotten about it when UPS shows up at my door with a package from tctunerz... WHAT THE ____. I immeditely went to my computer and checked my online bank statements to find out that tctunerz charged me and i went over my balance in my account. and since i dont have overdraft protection i was charged a penalty fee of $88 for going over. I immediately called tctunerz and the only service they could offer me was store credit and sarcasm which i didn't want. Luckily I have an awsome banker and she waived the penalty because i explained to her my situation... but now i was stuck with this 2nd K&N cold air intake that I dont need. i eventually found someone to sell it to but it was an experience and hastle i do not want to go through again.

Hows that for a bad experience pkg????

only 3? sheeeet the more the better... until they do right by their customers with issues, I will be one of their worse nightmares. Crappy business really ticks me off to no end.

I will stand up for what is right for those who won't or can't. These threads are to educate people and to detour good people from a bad experience. I hope to God that it will help.

All that tctunerz.com has to do is make right wrongs and you will see posts that are for their favor I bet. I have yet read a resolve for anybody yet, and will continue to aid in the demolish and end of tctunerz.com business practice.

I have friends that are in the FBI that I will use as a last resort. Trust me it won't be pretty. I am representing alot of silent voices.... They screwed a friend of mine and now I read on this forum they haven't changed.

I think with the stuff on here and the display from their employee, they should just count their losses and stay away

Thanks for the info 05_scion_tc. So far the only relevant answer to my question.

iconXone, I keep seeing you posting about how bad tcTunerz is yet you never back it up. What is your reason for being so vocal? So far I haven't seen you offer any real input into any of these threads.

I have posted this before, so i hope this is enough information
The story:

The owner (duwayne, quick) has ran other sites like c-three racing, qei racing and elc motorsports. These were corolla based sites in which he (duwayne, quick) had taken order for parts and not shipped them out. he sure did charge credit cards though. he would then claim items to be on back order or not answer emails and/or disconnect phone lines.

no links i put out are bs, but check some of these

go to this link: http://cr.ocgov.com/fbn/index.asp
Search for: Duwayne McClendon (thats his real name)
you will come up with ELC Motorsports

here is the bbb link for elc motorsports
http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Bu...ID=2&hAddrID=1

rating is an F and be sure to read what the complaints are

he also said he used to live in san dimas on a recent thread. this is the contact information from c-three racing when it was up
http://web.archive.org/web/200110202...om/contact.htm

C-Three and ELC Motorsports are both websites he used where he ripped off hundreds of corolla owners.

look at this post from msprotege (where he is a banned member) about another corolla owner talking about what i have said
http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showp...95&postcount=5

here is another way linking him to c-three racing
http://web.archive.org/web/200304121...m3.com/web.htm

then his is resume about he had on his personal site listing c-three racing
http://web.archive.org/web/200312030...com/resume.htm
