The guys at Unlimited Audio in Colonial/50 Hwy in Orlando Florida rock!!! this is why...
We went to Audio Excellence?
(also on Hwy50) to buy some speakers cables. After standing there for about 12 - 15, most of this time was spent standing in front of the counter where a guy (who was acting as the owner, I do not know) was on the phone mostly quiet and another guy beside him just standing there and looking at a small notebook every now and then.
So I thought they were busy and walked to the cables to see what I needed so I could speed it up in case they actually offer to help.
Nothing...
I talked to another customer who looks at me and makes a funny face telling me he has also been waiting.
I say out loud to this other client, "I am about to leave". And the guy with the note book looked up and made a face like he does not care.
Well after a few seconds this guy walks to the back and later comes out with another employee who thought that the counter was falling because as soon as he came out he leaned against it and stayed there
Well the guy with the notebook finally said..."is anybody helping you...??" to what I answered "No" while at the same time I looked back to the client who was there first but he was nice enough to say "go ahead..."
I told the guy what I needed and asked for a price.
He quickly answered "$1.00 per foot"
They guy holding the counter jumped and said something. ???
Then the guy with the notebook changed the price to "$2.50 per foot, he looked back to the guy holding the counter and said "...oh I am sorry $2.75..."
Then the guy holding the counter said out loud ..."no no $1.75.. I mean $1.50.."
By this time I am about to laugh.
He then asked... "Do you want it??..." to what I said ... "I do not think so." and left.
I drove to Ultimate Audio down the road and as soon as I got into the shop the owner comes out and greets me. One of the shop guys walked in and also greets me. I said what I needed and the owner told him to walk me to the shop and show me the alternatives they had and said that I will only find the "best stuff" since that's all they buy
And they do.
Cool, by this time I am already decided to pay any price they asked for just for the service I was getting.
I ended up buying double the amount of cables I needed just to help the guy.
When I asked for the price he said..."buddy give me just $1.00 per foot and I included a few extra feet for your benefit..."
When he said that I said "give a set of those high end connectors to help you out" to what he added "those are expensive..." I said "I don't care, you guys treated me well and you really know about customer service"
That is why I think Ultimate Audio rocks!!!
