yeah yea.. i think alot of us have issues with VRD and their current fog lights... mostly being a bit pricy and the warranty being a big case.
having abit of a reputation on the forums i wanted to give you guys an input as far as my opinions on the lights themselves to maybe change a few minds.. or at least give them a 2nd chance.
i have just installed them on a friend's car today and i must say that the quality of the fogs were much better than i had expected. VRD put abit of effort into making these i can tell.
the lights themselves were built well, but what surprised me the most was when the box was opened.. i was greeted with an almost exact Toyota formatted instruction manual.
the fonts, the headers, the list of materials, the redundant legend of whatever symbols and instructions.... it was as if Toyota made the instructions themselves.
next glance... wiring harnesses... pretty much identical to the factory oem fog's harnesses.. the switch.. the plugs.... completely plug and play just like the oem ones... it was a VERY easy install.
the only thing that could possibly make this a "true" toyota oem part was VRD didn't include a crazy amount of useless zipties and foam tape.
me hanging out at the dealership and been helping install things alot? yea... that's really true.
overall, the pricing can be a bit better, but compared to oem fogs? the price is great and the fitment and looks are awesome. i'll hand it to VRD... they did a good job.

i would say if someone wanted some good clean looking fogs to fit in those spots and had the money... yeah.
much better looking than trying to fit is300 fogs in that spot, imo.
and still cheaper than buying the oem ones from the dealership..
however, i am still uncomfortable with the customer service i've been seeing on the sales thread... VRD has been ignoring answering questions asked in the thread... though i did see on the website they have a limited 1-yr warranty now.

I had a great experience with Vertex Racing, and this thread helped me make my decision. If you haven't read it already, here's my take: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...&highlight=vrd
