It should have taken less than 48 hours to refund your money, that what computers are for. One of the reasons WalMart is a multi-billion dollar corporation is because they take advantage of misinformed consumers and hold their refunds to earn interest. Sure, it's only a fractions of a cent per customer, but add it up over a year and it's 100% profit.Originally Posted by rhythmnsmoke
Oh, I guess I just imagine Walmart taking up to a Week and Half to refund a purchase I made.... ZPI isn't WalMart and no one waits over two months for WalMart to a build a flat screen TV, it's either in stock or it has a sign that says "expected to be in stock **/**/2007". PM me when WalMart starts selling turbo kits for the tC... meanwhile, if you drop a few a grand for a turbo and associated parts, and for whatever reason you are not satisfied with waiting a lengthy amount of time for your goods and/or a refund, it's foolish to wait more than a few days for the retailer (whether it be ZPI, Dezod, Turbo Toyotas, etc.) to get you your money back. And as for CC/debit purchases being an instant debit, what do you think cash is? The good news is with plastic, if the retailer jacks you for you dough, you more avenues recourse to get it back in a shorter time; I've had two retailers try to pull the "we'll refund you in two to three weeks" bulls**t on me for major purchases, one call to Bank of America Credit Card dispute department and the refund was in my bank account by 8am the next business day.

Consider these 15 tips to avoid potential chargebacks (i.e. refunds):
12. Keep customers informed on the status of their transactions.
13. If the merchandise or service to be provided to the cardholder will be delayed, advise the cardholder in writing of the delay and the new expected delivery or service date.
14. If the merchandise ordered by the cardholder is out of stock and delivery will be delayed or this item is no longer available, advise the cardholder in writing and offer the cardholder the option of purchasing a similar item or canceling the transaction. Do not substitute another item unless the customer agrees to accept it. By giving the customer notice and the option to cancel, you may help avoid a customer dispute regarding the merchandise and a possible chargeback.
15. Ship merchandise before depositing transaction. Don’t deposit transactions with your merchant bank until you have shipped the related merchandise. If customers see a transaction on their monthly Visa statement before they receive the merchandise, it could lead to a preventable chargeback.
