TWM Performance is proud to be the first company to design a quality short shifter for the 2011 Scion tC! The TWM Scion tC short shifter has a couple of cool and unique features that we’d like to talk briefly about; the first being the relocated position of the gears. As most of you have noticed, the stock shifter is awkward in its gear placing. Any rearward shift results in you pulling your arm into the drivers seat. So at TWM Performance we fixed this problem, and the shifter is now MUCH more enjoyable to use!

Furthermore, the stock tC shifter’s reverse lock mechanism leaves something to be desired. Made from thin plastic and having play throughout, it’s really something that Scion failed at designing. So once again, TWM came to the rescue. We engineered a aluminum RL mechanism that operates flawlessly with a system of bushings, springs, and dowel pins. The end result is a far more precise, solid and easy to operate shifter.
Finally this shifter comes with base bushings and is available with optional cable bushings and a weighted shift **** for the ultimate shifter overhaul available on the market for the 2011 Scion tC!

So here are a few comparison pictures, starting with the stock throw from 3rd to 4th gear, then the throw with the TWM short shifter installed.

The regular retail price of the short shifter for the 2011 Scion tC is be $269.95, however we are offering a special pre-order price of $249.95! This pricing is a limited offer and will only last 3 weeks!

Check that your cable is properly installed I had mine on the outside when it goes on the inside. I had shifting issues fixed it and it's fine minus the dreaded second gear grind when it's cold.... Think it's a common problem with this transmission

Make sure there is plenty of grease on the shifter shaft where the reverse lockout lever goes up and down, and make sure the plastic bushing with the spring is properly installed, the RL operation should be very smooth.

Thanks,

Frank
