4300-5000K gets the most visible light output and reach.

The higher the Kelvin temperature, the less actual visible light comes out and more color is emitted.

It should be noted that in general that is true, but that the output specs you show in the image may or may not apply to the kits for sale in this thread or others here. Some sellers claim more output at 4300k, others less, some claim less drop off with the rise in color temp, etc. The info may be correct/exact for whever you grabbed the image (assume the seller is honest). It would nice is operatic had the exact specs for the kits he sells and could post them - just for comparison purposes.

Yes, I'm going by pure Kelvin temperature scales. Of course, these can be altered with bulb designs but.....on all kelvin scales i've seen online and in school, optimal lumen output is achieved between 4300K-5000K.

I mentioned earlier in the thread that a standard H4 is around 1600 to 1800 lumens HIGH BEAM and 900-1100 low beam. So using your lumen output chart (which may or may not be right for these bulbs) the 12000k HID bulbs will not put out much more light than standard H4 high beams. I have seen other bulb charts that show less output for 10000k and 12000k bulbs that your chart does. So while the purple color may look cool and should be more light output than H4 lowe beams, it will not be much better than just turning on the high beams.

Agreed. As soon as you get into the ultraviolets (10K+), the light output is deminished quite rapidly.

Has anyone installed a bi-xenon kit on their xB or xA (single light per side) ? Did you install the operatic style dual bulb bi-xenon or a kit with the servo to move the bulb for high/low beam?

Just wondering how it looks and worked for you in a Scion.

just got the kit for my foglamps today and i just finished installing them. the hardest part is finding where to mount the ballasts, after that its all just plugs. here are some before and after pics. my camera was dying so ignore the blur. the bulbs i had in my foglamps were PIAA H4 Plasma GT-X 9006.

the headlamps i currently have in there are PIAA H4 Plasma GT-X bulbs which have a purple tint. these look very dim in comparison now to the 10000ks i have in my foglamp housings. as soon as i get my bi xenon kit ill get more pics up. thanks again operatic.
