Anything "more blue" then 6000k will fade in the rain. I have a 6500k kit and there is just a little rain fade, not bad at all. If it's bothering you I'd say just get some lower K bulbs. I'm in Louisiana and it rains a lot here and I'm very happy with the color I have, still has some blue tint but not TOO blue...Just my 2 cents here.

Having all HID's, headlights and fogs looks bad-___! I'd do it if I had fogs and man, I bet the light output is awesome! As for the slim ballasts, (correct me if I'm wrong), I think the only difference is the ballast is "slimmer" making it easier to hide under the hood for a cleaner look.

Although 8000K are light blue but blue lights wont' be as effective (visibility) during foggy days, heavy rains.

5000K and 6000K is the best choice.

If you want to change the bulb color just simply purchase the replacements bulbs in our website. Remember to use coupon code: tenpercentoff-w for 10% discount.

Depending on what you want, other than the size of the ballast both functions the same.
Upgrading your fog light will have a more sleek look. But if you live in a area that's gets foggy then I would suggest to use 3000K or 5000K for the fogs. Best lighting for fogs are 3000K.

I baught my 8000k kit about a week ago and i went to align them tonight after i noticed they were somewhat unaligned, and i realized the drivers side has a very nice cut off but the passenger side looks like a staircase.. Im going to swap the bulbs to the opposite sides and if it ends up being a staircase on whichever side that certain bulb is, is there anything you can do for me? I appreciate it..

Just finally installed my 8k H4 HID kit today. Easy install everything was plug and play. Will definitely order another set later on for my other car. Quick turn around on order time. This HID kit is awesome and a sweet deal! Thanks Wil!

i just bought the regular size ones because those were the only ballast available at the time but there's plenty of room on the tC so i'd suggest saving some extra cash and the regular size ballast. besides they both perform the same anyways. now if you were getting HID fogs then i would suggest the slim ballast for those.

Kevin, try readjusting the HID bulb. Bulbs can be securely and being slightly off center at the same time. Swapping the bulbs will help you determine if is the bulb or position is off center.

I just finished replying all PM in my inbox.
Sorry took me a couple days to reply back. I had way too much work piled up while I was away.

Just bought a new xB and found this forum. I saw all the HID offers and decided to go with this person. I wanted to post a positive review since I looked at this HID compared to the mobileHID that sells for 140 and the other guy that sells for 110 and I really don't know why you would pay more. Ordered my $60 set last wed, it shipped right away and I got them on friday. Install was quick and easy. The xB seems to have a perfect location for placing the ballast right behind the main housing. Was a little worried about the 'scattering' of light like some other upgraders posted but with xB's projector lamps didn't notice any difference in light pattern. I got the 6k's and like them but may order the 5k's too just to see if they are whiter and/or brighter.

On another note, how long are these bulbs supposed to last hours wise? I don't drive at night too much and these aren't daytime running.

Well made and taken cared HID bulbs should last over 2~3 years. Remember, constantly turning ON/OFF the HID would shorten the life of the bulb and ballast.
