You can see ours compare to others. On the left, the light is flickering the whole time. poorly made HID kits will flicker. it's not the installation but simply a bad kit.

For the 09 Tc I would say it is required. I also have an 09 Tc and was running HID's without a harness for a few weeks until one of the ballasts went out on the kit. I got it replaced and this time installed it with the relay harness and haven't had any problems in over a year.

I'm kinda a noob when it comes to the Gen2 xB (its the wife's) but my question is this...I purchased her the 6K kit and I see the posts above about a relay harness...Does this apply to a 2010 Gen2 xB? Somene please help before I install these things in the wife's ride...I would hate for her to be driving at night with the kids in the car and have the lights go out...

im still tryin to take good pics of my HID kit, love them by the way... inspired me to buy 5 more kits since this was to good of a deal to pass up. went ahead wit 3k foglight kit, 10k another 12k highbeam kit an also 5k.. kits. i also sent a few message to some of my scion crew that dont use scionlife the website. an my recent purchase will be another 12k kit. easy install every kit wasnt even 30mins
