I love my Scan Gauge2. This morning my xB threw a code out... P0012. The VSC, Trac OFF and Check Engine light are all on. Toyota tells me its a VVTI Actuator and there is a TSB on it 5yr/60k miles.....but someone else said it can be a result of the Scangauge retarding the engine.......So does anyone know what Im supposed to do? Take it to the dealer, get reamed...or dont and hand the engine explode???
Help.

TSB: EG003-07 M.I.L. ON DTC P0011, P0012, OR P0016

There are some threads here on ScionLife, too, search for P0012...

Code to use is SLFTW one listed and had expired. As for the card we do MC, Visa, AMEX, PayPal and Google Checkout as long as the address your shipping to matches where your bill is sent should be cool. Send me a email if you need help.

depends on where you want to mount it. right now i have mine mounted on the steering wheel column in front of the speedo/ turn signals area. i have the wire running behind the panel and though the gap that is between the dash and column. i have it attached with velcro. looking to make a custom dash mount for it but havent had the time. i dont mind it covering the speedo since one of my displays is my speed.

ok, yea its an easy install with the wires going behind the dash. might have to make a bigger hole for the cat5 cable to fit through. not too sure.

i thought about the cubby hole but its too low for me. i like it at eye level.

yea ill figure it out. i was just wondering if anyone did anything like wire splicing instead of having it plugged into the OBDII. that way you wouldnt be able to see any wires or anything.

its hard to say that anyone has done that since that is one area where you do not want to cut the wrong wire or short something out. it doesnt really stick out that much and you can barely tell that it is there
