i was going to order one of these for my next mod but i ended up winning 2 12" subs and an amp package from memphis audio at Scion Exposed 5 in Seattle

so this might compliment all the new interior enhancements like my D3 etc.. but it'll have to come a bit later, cause I have to fab the custom box for the subs and stuff... heh.

Sure it will make it look much better in the interior with the ScangaugeII, and you can watch the battery voltage on the gauge to make sure the amp is getting what it needs! Have fun setting up the box that is a cool prize!

running aftermarket header right now. and seems like the antifouler trick isnt really working for me.

will this clear the code and keep the CEL off??

or would this just turn off the CEL? and ignore the code.

Clearing the code would turn the CEL off, but not correcting the error will allow it to come back on. So yes the ScangaugeII will remove the code and turn the CEL off but it will pop back up at some point.

cubby hole under the waterfall, and above the shifter, doctor isotope makes a piece that this squeezes in to that will fill that section and mount this device.

So, it totally blows when you forget to do the fillup after you put gas in the tank . Took me 3 more tanks to finally get it calibrated again . I'm still loving this thing though, one of the best mods I've made to the car. The only thing I wish, is that there was a white for background, 2-green, 3-red, 3-blue is the closest I can get, but it's still a little off.

I'm with you on remembering the fillup step and honestly I stopped doing it months ago. I do change the cost of the gas now but if you scroll up a bit and see the readings from my gauge a couple of days ago all the MPG settings are fine of course the miles to empty and fuel remaining are off but I don't have those gauges up. Anybody else finding the same when they don't do the fillup?

I did the fill-up routine for a while when I first got my ScanGauge II from you, Zack, but I've discontinued that and just fly by the seat of my pants for when my vehicle needs gas, which I've done for nearly five decades now...

Some of the OTHER features, though, I wish that every car I've ever driven had. I'm really pleased with the functions and features of the unit, and the ONLY change I'd really like to see is a larger display.

I love having the miles to empty reading for it, I just forgot to do it once. I usually set it while the gas is filling up, then once I'm done I'll save it to get an accurate amount. I'm usually right around a 20% correction.

Looking at a horizon like that the display size would be the least of my concerns!

I guess the new boxes have the MPG built in which is cool, I agree that it would be nice to have the features built into the car but I like the bare dash and it's minimal gauges. I guess I want it all and nothing at all!

Ok so I have a question...

Now this won't work on the 1st gen xB's but it will on the 2nd and the tC and possibly the xD (does the rvm attach to the windshield or the roof?)

Would anybody be interested in these I may start selling them... mounts are by Blendmount and it is the mount and a cable extender the also have one that mounts a Valentine One radar detector under the mirror!

Let me know your thoughts!

Hey man... not as many decades under my belt as you... but I've got a few and I hear ya on that.... I read about this component a little bit back... and plan on making it one of my next mods with all of its functionality
