Anyone get this to work on a '12 xB?
When I hold the ODO button down, it just changes my speedo from MPH to KPH.

I need to turn it off because when I drop my wife off at work it starts beeping because she got out.

Default Awesome!

God that seatbelt chime was annoying me. Thanks so much! I also read you can change the stereo setting between xA, xB, and tC by holding down the SSP button I believe it is. The one that changes between feel, neutral, etc.
I am new to this site I just bought an 06 tC with 39,000 miles and love it! How do ya'll find out about these things?! Because it's not in the manual. What other secrets do ya'll know?!

Thanks! -Chris

This will work for all Scion / Toyota.

It can be turned off.
1.) Power on (ignition on will do)
2.) Set trip/ODO to ODO (if its already on ODO you will have to cycle through)
3.) Power off
4.) Power on w/brake on
5.) (Within 6 seconds), press and hold the ODO for 10 seconds or more
6.) While STILL holding the ODO *after 10 seconds*, buckle BOTH seatbelts. Now release the ODO
7.) You will see in the trip display either a "b on" or "b off"
8.) Press the ODO to toggle between "b on" or b off" YOU WANT "b off"
9.) Now power off.

If battery is disconnected, you may lose your setting. Default is always "b on"

I found the initial instructions a bit confusing since my 2013 Scion tC doesn't have "b on" or "b off", mine reads "Trip A" and "Trip B". So I rewrote the instructions for 11-16 Scion tC's.

How to turn off the seat belt alarm:

This will work for 11-16 Scion tC's.

1.) Power on (just ignition on will do)
2.) On the right side in front of you set the trip/ODO to ODO (if it's already on ODO you will have to cycle through until it reads ODO again).
3.) Power off
4.) Power on while pushing and holding the brake.
5.) (Within 6 seconds), press and hold the right side ODO and count to 10
6.) While STILL holding the ODO *after 10 seconds*, buckle BOTH seat belts. Now release the right side ODO
7.) You will see in the left side trip display either a "Trip A" or "Trip B". (In this case A means On while B means Off)
8.) Press the left Trip toggle until it reads "Trip B" (means the alarm is Off) (if it's already on "Trip B" you will have to cycle through until it reads "Trip B" again).
9.) Now power off.

Seat Belt Alarm is now Off, but you will still have a flashing seat belt reminder blinking on your dash.

If the battery is disconnected, you will lose your settings.
