Im thinking Gen1 is a Baja Bug
No Gen 1 YET,but its coming i think.Retired guy,wife,2 GSD's. I drive mountains and deserts.Have LS400 with 257K and runs great,its really well maintained,as will the Gen 1 be.Also a Baja Bug guy.But I need a smaller car,and 1 that can potentially go off pavement.
My thinking, this is as cult a car as a VW bug ever was,but Toyota rock solid. At almost 20 years old we are at bottom of used car prices while at the cusp of turning rarer and becoming collectable cars.So this unique car is a no brainer to me.
Im aiming for the reliability of LS400,but with a 2 inch lift, stock tires i imagine that I will be at that thread in future.Lower bumpers and side cladding removed. My concern is getting front end as aligned as per stock with anybody can drive into shop and they have no problem aligning. That thread very helpful. If I have to stay stock i will. Will use the 195/65/15 tire for stock, correct?
So thats pretty much what Im thinking.Nice to meet you all.
