So i am reading all this stuff about poor paint and crap on the scions, and I start researching on this and other forums about microfiber towels and minimizing scratches on my new xb. i come across www.pakshak.com. I find out that the business is here in Hawaii and I am thrilled. Read a lot of good reviews and experiences about the products and I decide to call up and see how I can get a hold of these products. So I give them a call and find out that this is a web business only, so there isn't really a show room to check things out, and I am fine with that, shipping should be cheap anyway, I figure. Ranney Pak, owner, is a very good business man. He answered all of my questions and offererd advice on detailing. We talk for like 45 min. and he is giving me advice and opinions about products that he doesn't even sell, I mean he was not pushing me to buy his products at all. I even told him about the Klasse products that I got from another local business and he still went and explained about the product and advice on how to apply properly. I felt like I was talking to a fellow car enthusiast, and a friend more then a business owner. He even went as far as telling me where I could buy one of his products CHEAPER then he was selling them! I was stunned! Then we find out we live like 5 min. away from each other and he offers to take time out of his busy schedule to meet up when my order is ready, even though I refuse a couple of times at first (I def. understand how precious time away from work is). I am in the customer service industry(cook at upper scale hotel, also have experience in front of the house and general hospitality) and rarely get impressed by service, and have never written a review based on it, because I know what is to be expected. But, Ranney really WOWed me. He seemed like a great person first, business man second. I HIGHLY recommend buying from www.pakshak.com and am going to talk to him, to see about getting scionlife members discounts from him. We in Hawaii, usually get shafted with shipping or parts not being in stock but I really feel we got lucky this time.

P.S. if you do buy product's try and mention you seen this post on the Scionlife forums I figure it can only help with us getting a discount from them.

 

Yes I completely agree w/ you. I just placed my third order w/ Ranney and he has great products and incredible service. He has given SL members a discount in the past and can hopefully be swayed to do so again. His mf towels are very thick and are so much better than the cheaper stuff I've tried and his waffle weave towels are the best for drying.

 

You can get a much better deal on microfiber towels from costco. Thats where I get mine. Not sure if there are any costco's in Hawaii or not. But you get like a dozen to 18 towels for like 15 or 20 bucks.

I've seen at car shows guys trying to sell the towels from 5 to 10 bucks for one single towel. what a rip off...

 

cheap is not always better. those cheap towels will still scratch your car because of the bindings! I consider my car an investment and I am willing to protect it by using quality products to take care of it. i was actually going to buy the costco ones until i read this article and read testamonials from other pakshak customers around the world. check this out:
