Default 71% throttle only? HELP

ok i had a CEL when i stripped my a/f sensor yes the one on the header....so before i planned on buyin one i double checkd it to make sure it was the sensor that was throwin the code..and yes it was....then we checked the pedal %s....we floored each pedal and ..the clutch was 96% the brake was 100% but the throttle was 71% only....what the hell does that mean...was this because of my CEL a/f sensor....cozz now i changed the a./f sensor and now no CELs....but the question is...why was it at 71% throttle only?is it normal?

btw we used scangaugeII to check for those %s.

Percentages, ? I have no idea what you were looking at. One thing is true, if you have a cel especially for an a/f sensor the ecm will limit the total power output of the vehicle if it will even run at all. I am still wondering what you mean about pedal%.... clutch 96%, brake 100% ??????????????

ok we hooked up the scangauge to test the the redals, so first we tested the clutch i put the foot on the clutch maybe push halfway so it was 50%(showed up on the scangauge it says 50%) then i floored the clutch so it went to 96% brake same thing floored it 100% so then the throttle iit was only 71% came on the scangauge when i floored it... so basically...it wasnt allowing it go 100% coz of my damagaged a/f sensor thats what im thinkin...

if anyone has any ideas let me know..

If you already installed the new a/f sensor and cleared any pending codes in the ecm everything should be fine. I am still unsure about that test you did in the scanguage, but if you believe there may be a problem just take it over to the dealership and see what they say. good luck
