Hey guys, my friend needs help with replacing his alternator belt on his 93 Prizm, i knwo they use toyota engines, same as corolla, so basically i'm debating on actually lowering or somehow adjusting/removing alternator otherwise i see no other logical answer there are no adjustments or anything liek that for it.

one bolt is right on the top of the alternator and one i believe is ont he bottom am i right ?

Is there anyone that knows these cars and help me ?

what engine does he have ?? i had a 95 corolla and i know both these car run the same engine.

He either has the 7AFE OR THE 4AFE . On the 7AFE it has two bolts one on top one on the bottom and you need to remove a clip thats on it . The only way to remove the belt is removing the alternator or removing the crank pulley . When i removed mine all i did was remove the alternator .
On the 4afe im not sure if it has the same mounting on it . If he has the 7afe then it shouldnt be that had replaced .

LOL i know i caught myself pretty late after i wrote it o well... tell him he should get a 4age blue top or red top to swap out the head for better performance . or get a 4agze swap . i use to be part of a corolla forum i forgot the name of it like 5 years ago thats how i got the info on the geo prizm and the corolla
