I use an upholstery cleaner that comes in a spray can with the top being a scrubbing bristle brush. Little plastic spines. Works perfectly. When I first got my car there was some stains and clean spots around them where it looks like the previous owner tried to get them out but couldn't, and I mopped them right up.

Not sure of the name of my brand but I know theres alot out there. Stop in at a local autoparts store and buy a can with the scrubber on top and scrub away.

Why is this in Aero & Exterior?

I vaccume and then use the Turtle Wax Upholtry cleaner and that does the job for me.

If you could come up with the name of the one you used that actually worked, you could help a lot of folks, RCZD!

i'd rather bring back this thread than to create another one. well anyways, i've tried just about everything other than a steam cleaner or getting them professionally cleaned. i still can't seem to get them clean! they are just a faded black color, and it's making my car look like complete ****. i have a can of that tuff stuff and that doesn't seem to want to work. has anyone tried anything that has successfully worked? i would do the steam cleaner or the professionally cleaning but i'm kinda broke..

Did you Scotchguard them when they were new? It really helps to keep stuff from soaking in.
You don't want to scrub real hard cause it will mess up the fabric. If you've tried all the upolstery cleaners availible, steam cleaning may be the last resort.
I added water proof neopreen seat covers and they seem to work great at preserving the seats. You might try getting a set for all the seats to cover them up if all cleaning efforts fail.

Default Getting Pine pitch off seat...?

These are all great cleaning ideas however I have a unique problem I could use some help with.
I got pitch on my front passenger seat. All I have researched says not to use some solvents on certain fabrics. I have no idea what kind of fabric is in my Scion xB 06.
Thus, I do not know what kind of solvent would be ok. We had Scothguard put on when we bought it.

The detailer s would not guarantee me anything so I need to do this myself.
Any ideas?

Thanks

I use a SpotBot for my seats and mats and it works great. Takes care of anything and everything!
