Chicago owned 2005 xB over one year, no visible rust.

So far I've got 40,000 miles on the box, mostly from nasty NJ roads and no rust. yet.

Just a word on the previously mentioned undercarriage washes. If you are using an automatic wash with one of those, be aware. Those washes recycle the water and although they do filter it, that does nothing to take out the salt washed off of other cars before you. That means you are injecting salt water at extremely high pressure into your undercarriage every time you go through the wash.

Food for thought.

my halfshafts have lots of surface rust. and i've only been up to tahoe once during snow...... no salt out here either. piece of crap car...
