Battery covered under Warranty?
Hello everyone,
I got a 05 xB with 21k on it, my battery was dead for the second time this morning. Before I go and shell out some coin for a new one at Auto Zone, I thought i might inquire if anyone tried to get it replaced under the 36k mi. warranty?

I do have a 1000 watt system in it with some video, so I kinda figure the dealer will try to use this as an easy out. I had similar problems with Chrysler a few years back, they blamed my system for repeatedly frying the ECU (turns out it was the alternator).

Lmao I had the same issue with Chrysler in the past saying my system melted a wiring harness and the issue was also that the alternator couldn't keep up. I was able to use a capacitor (band-aid fix I know but I was 18 ) and it solved my issue completely.
If the battery you have was made within the last 3 years then you should be able to get it at leas prorated for a discounted unit, but the Duralast Gold is a better and stronger battery than the Toyota unit anyway, and you can't beat a 5-year warranty with the first 3 being free-replacement. And AutoZone doesn't care about your system lol.
1000w by itself doesn't mean much, the amp draw is what's really important. I have a 1000w system as well but only drawing 90 amps max due to all Class-D amplifiers. The DG battery has been good for me in my last few cars - actually outlasting Optima and Kinetik dry cells units.
