mobile is just ok, sunocao i never used
BP is pretty weak
We don't use BP because on saabs the fumes in the additives trips the CEL light for some reason.... what about speedway? does anyone use that?

I use shell and haven't switched since I tried out their "more fuel economy" claim. I have seen it, sure I'll have others here who might discount what I am saying but I've seen it myself as well as friend's cars.. they were skeptical til they tried shell..

I was using Mobil for a long time, but with my civic there were additives in the Mobil gasoline that were causing carbon build up.. Ever since then I've stayed with shell..

i agree with everyone here, shell is the best too..

I've never had problems with Shell or Chevron (though in my xB the one tank of Shell I ran got nearly 4 MPG less than the tanks of Chevron it was used to...).

I have had problems with Arco, BP and 76.

Other than that, I'm merely a creature of habit and tend to fill up at Chevron.

higher octane is not necessarily beneficial to the engine. higher octane essentially means the fuel is "purer." in a high compression engine, such as 10:1 and higher, octane makes a difference. turbocharging for exampls, would require higher octane to reduce knocking. you don't want anything prematurely detonating and destroying cylinder walls. hondas, toyotas, and just about most "tuner" japanese cars do not even need anything above 87. compression ratio is just too low to justify it. however, once supercharging and turbocharging is introduced, it's a whole different story.

I only use Shell 87. Dealer tank was unknown, ever since.. Shell only.
For some 22,000 miles.

I know BP uses the most domestic gasoline out of all the other big chains. I guess this only matters if you support america.

I don't mean to get political, this article goes there, but this is for anyone who wants to think beyond the octane. Apologies if this post offends.

I am so sick of this bullsh*t. I'm tired of hearing the term "poor people". You are so full of sh*t and if you want to throw your simple-minded propoganda at me, I can throw some right back at you: http://citgoboycott.org/modules.php?...article&sid=22

If you're so blind that you can't see how easily you just give up, roll over, and pick sides, then I don't even want to waste any more time with you. Think about things a little harder and you might come to respect the opportunities and freedoms your country's capitalism has given you. Stop sucking Hugo Chavez's di*k because he likely has nothing but contempt for you and your idiocy.
