Default The best/ideal wash mit

I searched- no flame!

I am looking for the best wash mit. My car is brand new and has not had its first wash yet.

At Autozone, I bought a microfiber wash mit. It was their most expensive at $7.00. Hey, anything for my tC!

So, what to use?

I would recommend a lamb's wool mitt over a microfiber mitt because it's easier to rinse dirt and dust from the wool. Many people use microfiber mitts without marring their paint though.

What I use now is a 2 dollar grout sponge from Home Depot. I like it because it rinses very cleanly, is economical, nigh indestructible, and works surprisingly well.

Now the question is where I can buy a lambs wool mitt locally? Autozone or Pepboys wouldn't have anything like that would they??

edit I called my local pepboys and they said they have a "genuine lambs wool " wash mitt for only $8.00. That sounds too cheap. I'll probably go take a look and go from there.

Wash media aren't usually that expensive for something that works. 10 dollars is the max you should expect to pay. When you're checking for lambs wool mitts feel them and get the softest one.

Technique and overall car wash regimen is just as important.

That may be, but this thread is about which wash mitt is the best.
