Best Wax on the Market?
where i live and with the heat the Nxt wax lasts about a week and half (meaning its not smooth to the touch, water still beads) basically with the 90-110 degrees during the summer it melts off
so im always having to wax my cars, so ive done some experimenting, i have found the dupont teflon works great, but only if its put on after a polish, same with zymol. also i have used Nxt wax paste which is where i have had the poorest results

It's a two step process, but it goes on easy, buffs out really easy, and lasts extremely well...
My wife used it on her cruiser, and then hasn't done doodly with it for years, and the Zaino is still there, if a bit worn...
The downside is that it's expensive...

It is expensive but it lasts for such a long time.

I thought the NXT was good till I tried the new Eagle One Nano stuff. WOW shiny and super smooth. Also got it with a rebate of Buy one and get one free.
Actually Zaino isn't that expensive PER APPLICATION. The trick is to apply a very thin layer. I can get at least 18-20 applications from a 12.95 bottle of zaino. Plus it shines bettere and lasts a lot longer than the gold class i have.(me nephew gave me the gold class for a christmas present, so i have tried it out and found zaino superior).
I have tried many many many different waxes and pilshes over the years, and nothing comes close to Zaino for shine, durability, and ease of use. Especially considering the fact that it does not leave a white residue or build up.

Ok guys just read the thead to my suprise. I have used Black magic on my Celica CARBON BLUE paint. HORRIBLE stuff. Impossible to remove. I have used Meguires Gold class after the black magic. good wax lasts a while etc etc. Well now I have a BCP xB 2006. Hit 2 deer. The body shop screwd my paint so bad that theirs by no means matches factory. Also the factory they swirled it so bad that it blinds you in the sun. The whole cars paint is destroyed. $4,000 to repaint a 2006. I bought Meguires NXT today with amazing results. I cant see one single swirl in the paint whatsoever. The body shop even intentionally put scratches in the roof of it to spite me for my complaints. This wax covered them up too. I cant even see them anymore. I am thrilled with NXT. Here's my results with NXT. You can even see me in the reflection of my xB taking the pix. This car did not even look this good on Delivery.

Blackbelt, You have a fine shine on your toaster! I have been using Meguires NXT wax, and have been pleased with it, but durability is important to me because finding time to wax my cars is difficult. I'm lucky to have time to get mine washed once a week. Per your recommendation, I will try Zaino next time I wax. Also, I wanted to ask, what year is the old model Saab in your garage? It looks like it's in good shape.

If you are going to use Zaino, get the Z2 and the ZFX accelerator. Also, i recommend the claybar. If you set aside a saturday afternoon to do this, you will be amazed at the results. Clay the car, and then apply 3 coats of Zaino. By that i mean, apply it, wipe it off. Apply it again, wipe it off. Then do it a third time. You will be blown away by the results. I did that to my PT Cruiser, and took it to a PT event. I parked next to a PT the same color as mine, and the difference was amazing. My shine looked MUCH deeper. I think Zaino has a starter kit or someting that costs liek 80 bucks....to me thats a small investment to keep my Toaster looking good. Plus, if you do that, your car will still be beading months later. Longer if it's garage kept.
Here is the SAAB and the rocco at a cruise last year...plus in my yard...i use Zaino on both of them too. Threw in one of the Cruiser too...

Blackbelt, Thanks again for the great info about the Zaino, claybar, and the starter kit. I will remember your advice and use it on my next waxing day. Also, I enjoyed your car pics. I can't remember the last time I've seen a 69 Saab V-4, or an 85 VW Scirocco. I especially enjoyed the pic of the Saab V-4 engine! Truly a unique engineering feat that's even more appeciated now in our $3.00 a gal. world than in 69 when gas was about 35 cents a gal. You have some very cool, fun to drive cars, and obviously take very good care of them! If you enjoy action movies and good car chases, check out the movie," Black Cadillac", with Randy Quaid. The Saab in that movie takes a severe licking and keeps on ticking!

I know you will liek the Zaino, just be sure to follow the instructions, and remember, use THIN coats of the Z2 polish. The only thing accomplished by a thick coat is that it is harder to remove...thin is better.
What kind of SAAB was in that movie?
Another shot of the engine
