Caliper Paint and Waxing Car
Hi All.
1. I am planning on painting my calipers and was wondering is it would void the warranty in any way.
2. I waxed my car last month. How long can I go till the next wax? Also does washing/wiping the car reduce the time between waxings?
Thanks all. Take care.

Wont void the warranty. Only way your warranty would be voided out is if the paint caused a mechanical failure which is HIGHLY unlikely. Just try not to get it on the little areas where the directions for the paint say not to paint. I haven't waxed my car yet and I have had it for 3 weeks now so Im not too sure on that one.
You can grab caliper paint or any high temp enamel paint at an auto store like kragens, autozone, etc.
Only tool you'll need is a screwdriver, and a socket set. A caliper removal tool is helpful but not necessary.

To help with Question #2
Generally you should wax about every 3 months.
BUT, buffing, washing, polishing, basically anything where
you are rubbing the finish is going to rub away at that wax.
The easiest way to tell if you need to rewax, is to spray some
water on your car right after you wax it and make a mental
note on how the water beads/sheets off. Then compare that
mental picture with how it is 3 months from now.
For example: on my box, I just waxed the hood and front
bumper. The water beads so well, I can just blow across my
hood and it all rolls off. I'll probably do the same thing in
two or three months and see if it still beads and rolls off like that!
Last note, time also depends on the quality of the wax.
Cheap stuff won't last long, and true carnuba while looking
nicer, doesn't last as long as synthetic waxes. I'm die hard
carnuba myself. I'd rather have extra work and KILLER
finish on my box.

Just do a search on paint and you will see what I'm talking about.
