most car washes will still do it but will ask you first and tell you that if something happens...it's not their fault. Just wash it yourself...it always looks better and you don't have to drive after and can let all the water dry properly and not get any streaks.

I live in an apartment as well. I'ld just take my tC to a self car wash, bring my own soap, and wash it myself. Costs about $4-5 usually for the length of time I need...and I go slow.

haha. Try ghetto areas...that's where I have to go...

or

you could possibly post a craigslist ad...I'm sure someone would let you use their driveway.

When I lived in an apartment, I would bring my soap, towels, and a bucket to the self car wash, then drive home (avoiding dirty streets). Once I did get home the car was mostly dry as well, and I would finish the rest of the wash (tire shine, glass, details). For me it wasn't worth trying the automated car washes anyways since I did a better job myself.

I'd find a way to do it yourself. I would never take my car to a non self-car wash, EVER. A risk is something you shouldn't even think about with your tC.... At least, that's how I roll.

yea i live ina complex too and it does suck, all my friend live in dorms or in my same complex, my parents live in ny, so thats out, and i do agree the self ones are the way to good thing theres one 2 lights away form my complex. however it helps when my roomate's girlfriend works at BP and can give me free ultimate washes when her boss isn't there, then i pull under gas pump carport, and dry it :D

I live in an apt too, but I live in a college town so there are apts everywhere. I managed to find another apt nearby that has two hoses and a vacuum. I go there to wash and dry. Drive back to my place to wax/detail/interior. May not be fun at times but definitely worth it at the end.

There's two that I know of on Long Island.

Both are a little out of your way, but if you're coming West for any reasons you can stop at them.

One is on Main St. and Rt. 110 in Amityville called Bubble Up and there's another one on Rt. 109 on the e/b lane side in West Babylon.

Definitely bring your own wash mitt and stuff because those brushes they have there will scratch the crap out of your car.

It's where Great Neck Rd. and Main St. meet at Rt. 110 on the Amityville/Farmingdale border.
