cleanin these darn black rims! what what?
what's the best way and cleaner to use on black rims? I bought hot rims, greased lightning. bleach white for rims, and regardless... they look crappy! they never come clean the first time. it seems my hand cleans better than a chemical. any tips? ideas?

Just use whatever carwash gel you use for your car. Meguiars Deep Crystal carwash works well with a soft cotton rag so it doesn't scratch. Those chemical cleaners will ruin the wheels finish if its left on too long or if the wheels are too hot(temp).

i used to have gunmetal rims on my old car. just soaked it in car wash soap, meg's deep crystal, and let it sit for a few minutes. then wiped it with a microfiber.
you could always try out wheelwax, i'm not sure how long it will last though

You may want to check the water your using to clean your wheels/car with. Stay away from well water, it will stain unclear coated wheels. And hard water will leave spots on your wheels, this is very difficult to remove.

Might try this stuff. s100 works really good on the black parts on Harleys, which are powder coated and painted. I am not sure if your wheels are painted or powder coated, but its worth a thought.

They have never been off my box for cleaning either. Been on there for about a year as well. The soap does not stain the paint on the wheel at all.
all.
