Default Replacing Air Filter

Hi I'm new to this forum. A friend of mine told me about this place.
I have a 2006 xA and I need to replace the air filter. The owner's manual doesn't mention where the air filter is. So I'm wondering where the air filter is at.

There is a plastic box coming off your engine. The air filter is in that box. That is unless you are talking about the cabin air filter which is in your glove box--but that is a different story.

So how do you get into that box in the engine? It looks like you just pop the 2 clips, remove the lower hose going into the engine and it pops up...correct?

Pop the two clips out. Pull the top half towards you and to the left side. You will have enough access to pull the filter out from the right side without having to remove the lower hose. The rubber hose is pliable so you can move it to your liking.

Do you mean filter?

If you're going for a drop-in, go K&N. People hate the oiling, but they'll last you longer than any other out there.
