Default Crap!! Stupid Mechanical Belts?

Ok...so I'm having this problem which may have to do with my mechanical belt pulleys or the belt itself. For a quick background, about two weeks ago I had to replace the bolt for the crank pulley, somehow...for whatever reason, it got loose while I was driving, so you can imagine the terror of having your crank pulley come out of place as you drive. So I call AAA and have them tow me home, the next morning I check out what the f--- happened and that when I found out that the bolt for the pulley had gotten loose, and since it got loose while I was driving 80mph it stripped the bolt quite well. Me being somewhat mechanically inclined figured hey...whatever, sure this is a good chance it's a warranty issure but do I really want to do the whole dealership thing just for a crank bolt that came loose and is now stripped? No. So I order the bolt and put it in nice and tight and stashed away the crap one for future reference if needed. It's been about a week and a half since I did this and everything was nice and fine. But starting yesterday when I start up my car it will make a quick audible chirp or this horried squeal like a banshee taking it up the butt (ok so thats an exaggerated) but it makes this realyl high pitched squeal that last for a few seconds. So what do you guys think this could be? The bolt is nice and snug, and the belts have been adjusted for adequate tension. everything runs fine but everytime I start now guarenteed it will chirp and sometimes mostly when it's cold it makes the high pitch squeal, that or when I heel-toe on the occasional spirted driving when I blip quick and run up the RPM. The car runs fine too, no CELS or battery lights going off. Nothing....so throw me some bones here guys?

Sounds like a slipping belt. I'd check the tension again, and if it is correct I'd probably put on a very small amount of 'belt dressing.'

...shortens the life of the belt, though...
