Default DC sport headers and maintenance light

i just put in my dc sport headers about 150 miles ago and like others, i got my CEL. it sounds kind of bad. ha. its ok once i get up the rpm but do others sound raspy on stock exhaust too? and i just hit 14500 miles and my maintenance light has come on. is it because im supposed to get my car checked every 15000 miles? cuz i dont see anything wrong right now.

Reset your light and then see what happens.

i just got my DC header but i have the TRD exaust... mine is hella loud so i would think that the stock would still be raspy and kinda loud... i don't think that you have anything wrong with your car just cuz of the header... did you do the anti fouler trick with the O2 sensor??

Kind of dumb not to do the antifouler fix. It's 4$ and takes about 15 minutes. DC Sport's header is really raspy for our setup for some reason. I'm going with Alphawerks. I've heard it in person and it sounds very clean, no rasp even at WOT.

Maintenance light isn't due to the CEL. That is your oil change interval light. If you changed the oil at the dealer last time and they didn't reset it, it could be coming on early. Just reset the light and you'll be fine. It's set for every 1K up to 6K. It's not set for 15K.
