Default Dealer Emblem. How to Remove?

So I have this HUGE emblem from the dealer on the back of my new ride. I'd love to get that thing off of there without killing the paint. How would a guy go about that?

Ironic a dealer is answering this-we dont put emblems like that on our cars-its kinda cheezy.

If it is a decal-use a heat gun or hair dryer on the surrounding metal-it should come off easily afterwards. Dont get to close to damage the paint-just enough to heat the metal.

If it is a plastic label with 2 sided tape-rip off the label carefully so it doesnt snap off and strike the paint, then you can use the same process or some liquid bug and tar remover to get rid of the residue. Dont over do-it can eat through the paint.

Best way-tell the frikin dealer to take it off because you dont want it there!!

Good luck

do you have a pic? if it's like our scion emblem in the rear, you can go to tech and use a heat source to peel the glue and the stupid emblem off. or you can take it to the dealer and have them take it off. just sweet talk the sales manager and he or she probably won't charge you

I used a heat gun on mine and it took maybe 5 minutes to get both emblems off.

Here's the before:

I don't have an after pic on hand, but it came off flawlessly. Was quite relieving.
