Default DEALERSHIP TUESDAY NEED WARRANTY HELP!!

whats up, so i may have a cv joint problem in my car i keep getting a knocking sound from the front end of my tc. My car is lowered on coilovers, if it is the cv joint or something else not related to my coilovers, will it still be under warranty and if the dealership says that it is not under warranty...What should i say and do??/

Depends a lot on your dealer. If they want to be dicks about it, they could just say it's not covered and you would essentially have to fight it if the coilovers didn't cause it.

If your dealer is cool, they will just do it properly and if the coilovers weren't the cause, they'll fix it as they should.

Hard to say though. Best case is not to say anything about your extra parts. Just explain the problem and let them ask the questions.

I agree with ack154. Don't even address the issue of the extra parts installed on your vehicle. I know of dealers that may ask you to return to the place that installed the coil-overs and have them inspect their work. If their work is OK, only then the dealer will inspect your suspension.

If it were our shop, we'd inspect the vehicle regardless. It really doesn't take that much work to put the vehicle in the air and look underneath. I personally hate it when dealers threaten to deny warranty to customers when they do not take the effort to inspect it themselves.

No wonder us dealers look bad.
