Engine revs during gear shifting

Engine revs during gear shifting
Any ideas on this one? No matter the temp of the car, the engine revs up during gear shifting. I noticed I can help the problem if I remove my foot from the gas a full second before actually shifting. it's as if the engine lags accelerator. Is this adjustable? I'd like to sharpen it up.
In fact, my wife was complaining about stalling all the time. If the engine was lagging the acclerator, this would cause stalls too.

it's the ecu and the drive by wire system. the accelerator is not connected to the engine via a physical cable.. it's electronic.
so yes. there is a lag.. unfortunately for those who are used to very sensitive throttles.. the best you can do is just get used to it.
