General Maintenance at 30,000?
I'm sure this topic has come up before so please excuse my question but I have been hunting around and searching for it and have not been able to find it yet. At least I believe though that this post is in the right section.
I'm about to hit 30,000 miles on the car and I wanted to know what general maintenance is recommended at the 30,000 mile mark and if possible, also what the future marks are for me to know about for regular maintenance. Also for those that live in the states, for someone that doesn't have the knowledge to do it himself (like me) what place would you recommend to have them do it for me. Thanks in advance for all the help.

I am not sure what exactly Scion calls for at 30k for maintenance but I would imagine that it is similar to the 15k service. I personally would have the dealer do the service they are going to know your car the best. Scoin also dictates the prices of scheduled maintenance to the dealer so you shouldn't get screwed.
I know the maintenance schedule is listed in the manual. (May be in a separate book with your owners manual)

Here's one for tC (xB is under Service menu):

Pricing wise it's about $250 for 30K at the dealership.
You can go to Pepboys or some Mom/Pop place. Just give them a list of what needs to be done and ask for the price (shop around). Lots of places throw in courtesy inspection (brake, fluids) with oil change and tire rotation, but you may have to pay extra for spark plug change (for xB/xA)/inspection (for tC), belts inspection, various fuel/brake lines/hose inspection etc. Change your air and cabin filters.
