Default going from synthetic to dino

ok so it sounds like a bad idea i know, but i just didnt feel like paying dealer prices for synthetic at my last maintenance (put synthetic in my self before).

now is it true that going from sunthetic to dino wears your engine more? or this oine of those old wives tales. I dont see how that claim can be substantiated, but then again im not a mechanic nor a chemical engineer.

---what do you guys think?

Why not just continue to change it yourself? Keep records and receipts and your warranty should still be golden.
