Default Which Grade of Gas

What's up XB'ers! I just wanted to know if anyone out there noticed a big difference in switching from low grade gasoline to premium? Does it really make that much of a difference. Gas prices have shot up like crazy, I just want to know if I should run premium to get every bang for my buck? And also does using low grade sacrifice much of the performance? Anyone with any idea please post me, I really can't tell, everytime I try to pay attention to the mileage I forget and I keep resetting it. I may be a little on the slow side, or maybe I just listen to my radio too loud that I keep losing all my concentration, or it could be that I keep paying attention for cops because I use to be a civic owner so I have a permanent phobia! SCARRED 4 LIFE. Freakin' PO-PO!

I've been going middle of the road with 89 octane, getting 30 mpg. I don't think it'll make too much of a difference, but I could be wrong.

All I know is my grand prix GTP needed premium and got 18 mpg, I couldn't be happier to have a scion.
