found a nice sized rock scratch on my gas tank.......... grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I hate rocks!!!!!!!! Somebody with some advice, or will a nice waxing be able to make it disappear? It's just a little paint scratch, not visible unless up closely. GRRRRR, sorry needed to vent too.

Oh, sorry! I would show but no camera...... I just wanted to vent because I was extremely ____ed off... and I tried to vent to my friends but i'm already paranoid about my car so much they laughed at me and just told me it was just a stupid scratch...

 

Well the first scratch is always the worst, but it's not the end of the world. There are far more worse things in life.

Wax should do it if it's a minor scratch.

 

just wait to see the front of your car in a few months... mine makes me sick!

Try Scratch-x followed by wax.

 

X2! It under the freakin car. Now if it's on your GAS DOOR that's a different story. Yeah use some Scratch X to make it less noticable and follow with good wax.

 

It's on the gas door, sorry for the bad information. I will give that a try, I bought the Meguiar's NXT generation wax, looks like I'll have to get the scratch x.

 

If you can catch your fingernail in the scratch it may require touch up paint.

 

No I can't, when i feel over the scratch i can't even feel it,, and it can't really be seen until you look at the car at a close distance. probably worrying over something stupid but it seems to bother me.

 

Then the scratch X should make it go bye bye. Then just rewax the area. Cool.
