Default Has this happened to You? Accessories, etc.

Hi, I have the following accessories for my Scion, w/ some issues:

NoseMask/BugShield: speeds of over 45mph or so the middle of the flap flips up & I keep having to tuck it under,,,the straps are NOT adjustable, so N.E.1 else have this problem & do ya know how to resolve it?

Also--VentVisors: my front doors have some sort of "notch" that doesn't line up w/ the groove,,,what is this for, can it be moved or REmoved?

-Exterior washing: I have a dark Blue Onyx color, & can't find the right washcloth/mitt to make it shine right,,,I've tried sponges/microfiber/chenille/lambskin,,,what cleans the best w/out leaving "fuzzies," streaks & watermarks/spots?

& Finally, does anyone know what SIZE the xB windshield wipers are? Not sure how to measure it, & Scion's website AND dealerships have no idea either
Help out pls...

I am assuming you have a bra (nose mask) What brand is it? Fit is everything with a bra, if it is too loose it will flap around and damage your paint. I suggest taking it off until you can get it to fit right.

Ventvisor- Dunno. I have the in channel ones.

Wiper blades- Just measure them end to end, simple as that. I believe ours are 16". Most blades come with an assortment of clips to fit them to any car. As someone who managed an Advance Auto Parts store for 4 years....please don't ever buy wiper refills. They're crap and they hardly ever fit right. Several times a week I would get people in to return their refills because they didn't fit. Morons don't understand that one brand of refill often won't fit another brand of blade.

Washing- Anything you use to clean the car, mitts, towels, etc....put them in your washing machine and cycle them through a few times. This will help remove the new fuzzies. A good anti-static detailer spray will help also.

Default Genuine Scion

Yep, the front end Nose Mask/bra is from Scion, & like I mentioned originally the straps can not be tightened.

I too have the VentVisor in-channel style, theres some "notch" that doesn't line up w/ the EXterior front doors, just above the side view mirrors. Is this for defogging the windows or something, can i take these off??? I have an '05 xB, & these models are Supposed to fit '04-'06 years...

Default ..Move that knotch...

Pull down the rubber gasket, remove the blue tape strip that holds that **** in the window channel in place. Move that **** to where it needs to be to fit the **** area on the visor. Re-place the blue tape strip and replace the rubber gasket.

When I bought mine, Miller Toyota did not know how to move these ***** and had to refund my money when the visors did not fit due to that ****. Miller Toyota of ManASSas VA, could not find that part in any service manual. Now you know more about this than most dealers.

For the washing and drying... get a good cleaner wax like Mothers or Meguiar's. It'll seriously help with the drying as surface will be hydrophobic, otherwise it'll just smear around.

A cleaner wax is a 1 step affair so it ought to not take too much time.
