Coming home for the weekend, I hit a nasty! pothole on southbound I-25, and since then the tC has a moderate shudder or "dip-dip-dip - - - dip", which occurs randomly, and varies in severity, getting worse as the speed got higher.
I visually inspected the rims and tires, and I cannot see any damage to the rim or bubbles in the tires. I really hope that it is an issue dealin with the suspension. (maybe allignment?)

Any of you guys out there possibly know what the cause of the slight shudder could be? I really need some help so i know what the costs could be.

 

you could have bent the inside of the rim, causing a out of balance tire....

 

Could be as simple as the pot hole knocking off a tire balance weight.

My son hit a pot hole one time and broke a swaybar,ball joint, bent rim, and lower a-arm. hopefully your is a simple fix, like the wheel weight.

 

It could be a couple of things:

1.) Bent rim/damaged tire.
2.) Damaged wheel bearing.

For the first part, if you want to test yourself, just swap your front and rear tires out and see if the sound follows. If it does, then it is tire or rim damage and you should take it to a shop to have them inspected and balanced. If it doesn't, then it is probably the wheel bearning.

For the second one, verify the first option didn't fix it and then take it somewhere to have the bearing replaced.

 

Update: Took it to midas today. They performed a full suspension inspection, and nothing absolutely nothing is bent or broken. They also inspected the rims and tires, and neither of those are bent or have a bulge or "bubble" on the tire either.
They are now going to re-balance the rims and tires, along with a brake job. If this doesnt fix it, then im going to go crazy, because visually and mechanically he said it looked fine.

why do you need a brake job?

 

if its all visually ok. Take it to the dealer and use your warranty.
