There is a similar entry for Meguiers, but it is not pulling up right now. They may have a website.

Good Luck and have fun!!

The main thing to remember about a Scion is.... The paint sucks and is very soft. Thus some of the tips on other sites will leave your paint not so good.
My rules for Scion paint is as follows:

For washing- use a bucket with car wash soap only (no dish detergent) mixed with fresh water.
Never wash it in direct sunlight.
Use a nice soft bristle brush rather than a sponge or wash mitt (they trap dirt and then drag it on your paint).
Always start on top and work your way down and rinse as you go.
To dry use ONLY microfiber towels.

To prep for wax, use Clay Bar to ensure a contaminate free surface.

For wax I use the NXT Meguires. Lasts long and shines awsome.
Use only microfiber aplicators and never wax in direct sunlight either.
Remove wax with microfiber towels only. Terrycloth ones will scratch your paint.

Also, to help prevent rockchips get a Colgan bra.

That sounds a little dangerous. What kind of soft bristle brush are you talking about?
I remember when I got my first car and didnt know much about detailing and used one of those foaming brushes they have at the self serve car washes and ended up scratching the #$%@ out of my paint. Now anytime I see someone use one of those things, I cringe. The person usually has a real nice car like a BMW or something like it and looks like they are in a big hurry and use this brush and then rinse off the car and then just drive off and dont bother drying it. I just stand there and shake my head in disbelief.

They are the ones made of very soft bristles and have a 2ft. long handle. They leave ZERO scratches and hold no dirt while using them. The ones I use have white bristles and have a rubber border around them to protect what you are washing.
When I tell people about them they invision tire brushes (stiff and hard)

If they don't hold dirt, how does it clean? I will never let a brush touch the exterior of my car, soft bristles or not. The only cleaning supplies that touch the exterior of my car are microfiber towels and my washmitt.

Because it loosens the dirt so it washes off easier.

The brush isn't designed to HOLD dirt. It loosens it, along with the soap so it can be rinsed away.
Mitts collect it and drag it over the paint till the mitt gets rinsed out.

if you really want to be crazy, you can go out and get a foam gun from autogeek and do what I do.

1 bucket of soapy water
1 bucket of straight water used for rinsing mitts (changed 2-3 times per wash)
5-10 sheepskin mitts
the foam gun

spray foam at the point where the mitt meets the paint, rinse the mitt often, change the mitt often. I can count the number of swirls that i have on 2 hands. our paint doesn't suck, nautical blue is actually a beautifiul color when clean, people just don't know how to take care of the paint properly.
