Default hood not fitting?

Anyone know why my hood doesn't fit correctly? It's slightly higher than it should be... I tried twisting those rubber stop, but it seems that the latch itself is causing the problem... I got the car used, but it has never been in an accident... at least not in outside (it had fire inside, though... ) ...

Just go and adjust the latch , they can normally be adjusted half an inch up and down.

The car was stolen, then set on fire on the front / back seats. Compared to most slvged cars I bought up to now (MR2, gs-t, VR4, 3.5RL, gt-s) its damage was minor. (no repaint job, no body damage, other than the hood not fitting, all oem parts)
Yes, I thought about it twice before buying the car. Overall, I think I made good decision on given conditions. No prob. with the car so far (other than the fact that it's annoyingly slow... but I knew this when I bought the car...)

ANYWAYS... Back to my question... Has anyone tried to "adjust the latch" on XB, or XA ? I know, with my old Eclipse, I was able to unbolt the whole latch assembly, and lower it about 1cm down.... But with Xb, I don't think I can move it just by unbolting couple bolts ... (at least, at the time I was working on it, I couldn't, due to the rain and all...)
