Default How to Clean Tint???

I've had my xB for close to a year now, & have tried about EVERY window cleaner on the tint, & it Always comes out foggy/swirly/worse than when it was Dirty!!!
I've tried all of your basic window cleaners, name-brand & generic, as well as "Auto" glass cleaner & wipes. What am I doing wrong? I have a small squeege which seems to work best on it, but the result is STILL somehwhat streaky. Am I using too much or not enough, is there a certain way to DRY it, or is there a good cleaner to recommend that is specifically for Tint??? I did see a window spray @ AdvancedAuto Parts that said on the bottle "works great on tint" N.E.1 know what I'm talking 'bout (I haven't seen it since).
Keep it clean U Scioners, please help & thanx

Agreed,

Also, after a couple windows, you will want to switch out the MF towels out to keep it super dry and get rid of the haze.

I tend to think that the aerosol Stoners works better than the pump spray Stoners.

I thought there was ONLY an aerosol version. Use 2 microfibers. One to clean and another to finish dry.

The thing to remember is never let your drying towel get too damp. Once its damp its almost impossible to avoid streaks. Use your glass cleaner sparingly. Unless your windows are extremely dirty, a light mist in the center of the window is enough, just wipe it in with a MF towel to get the window clean. Quickly follow that up with a swipe of the dry side of your towel or a new, fresh towel to make sure anything left behind was removed and that your window is dry. Windows can be tricky, but with the right technique they're not much of a problem.

Hence, the second microfiber towel.

Exactly. I was just clarifying. You can do the same thing with one towel folded over if you don't use very much glass cleaner as well, but most of the time two towels are needed.

Default sank u berry mooch

saw that Stoner's stuff @ K-mart, I'll have to give it a shot.

But what's this I see (even on the instrux) about using Newspaper???
Ken some1 fill me in on more details about this; wouldn't the ink on the paper get all smeared onto the glass?

Nah, the ink stays on the paper. It works good but I prefer microfiber.

I use this stuff called Tint 'N Shine by H & R Enterprises. A good local tint shop uses it.

I don't know if it's available in your area but it leaves no streaks.

Newspaper will scratch the holy snot out of window tint. Film is just a soft pliable plastic, newsprint is chock full of wood fiber. Newsprint works fine on GLASS, but glass isn't the same as a soft plastic. All you need is a soft cloth and something wet (water, soapy water, glass cleaner, spit. whatever.) Streak free has more to do with elbow grease than anything else. It's the buffing that polishes the streaks out, not the cleaner. A good cleaner may make it a little easier, but it's the buffing that does the job. Just like on paint.

When I clean my tint I just use regular windex. It has never done anything to my tint.
