Default How do I clean the interior of my TC.

I need to know how to clean the doors (plastic and cloth) the seats and the headliner without staining anything. Thanks for any input.

Do you have stains or do you just need to do some surface cleaning? For carpet and upholstery, a good thorough vacuuming will help a lot. If you have spot stains, use a carpet cleaning product and scrub it with a brush. This is good for light, isolated stains. If you have really bad carpet, you might need the carpet extracted professionally.

As for interior plastics (dash, doors, etc) my FAVORITE product by far is Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer. You can pick it up for $5 at any AutoZone, Pep Boys or Kragen. It cleans up the surface and leaves no residue behind. At first you might think the smell isn't great, but after a while you get used to it. I know love the smell, it leaves the interior smelling "clean", not anything like some sort of cheesy scent like "Mountain Air Pine Spring." I also believe it has very (very) light UV protectants in it. If Meguiar's would make this same product with more UV protectant in it it could be the perfect product. Its also safe on fabrics, leather, radio controls, etc.

Anyways, using it couldn't be simpler. Spay it on to the desired surface, and wipe off with an el-cheapo microfiber towel (I never use my good stuff for interiors).

dash, door panels, and other plastics:
1x a month- meguiar's #40
2x a month- 303 aerospace protectant
every couple of days when the dust gets to be too much- meguiar's quick interior detailer wipes (easier to carry around in the car w/ me vs the srpay on stuff. still works just as good.)

i vacuum the carpets 1x a week when i wash the car. I use 303 fabric guard on the seats and carpeting once a month. I also clean the glass inside and out when i wash the car.

My interior is so fresh and so clean clean!
